This coaching staff intentionally runs basic and easy schemes that even the opposing team can figure out what they are doing.

Sam darnold said it best when he said the cowboys “play like they always do” and that he knew what he had to do to win.

It’s been on record that this coaching a staff believes that hustling and winning 1 on 1 matchups is key to how the cowboys play/win football games.

My question is why? Are the players on the team not smart enough and have to play in a scheme where everything is “in front” of them and rely on athleticism?

Are the coaches using these basic schemes because they are not smart enough and don’t know any other way to play football?

Lazy or incompetent? Take your pick.

It’s pretty simple. Our coaches simply think talent for talent, were the best in the league. Our best will always top their best. They keep it simple because talent trumps all to them.

Bottom line ... they are wrong.

Dallas has no ability to self-scout and thinks they have superior talent across the board. Because they think they're the most talented team in the NFL, they feel they don't need to scheme and can just "beat the man in front of them."

I'd love to hear what Garrett says during a walk-though. "Okay guys, this week, we're gonna run the football at will, control the clock, control the tempo, and score touchdowns."

The approach was the 90's cowboys approach. Larry Allen used to make a choo choo noise at the LOS. It didn't matter if the opposing defense knew what was coming. They couldn't stop it. But, Jimmy Johnson's strengths as a coach are where JG falls down. He's no leader of men. He has no motivational skills and he's certainly not coaching anyone up. JG is the players buddy.

So, It is not so much our style of play as the lethargic and lazy way the players go about it. .......and there is no accountability anywhere in the organization. Those 2 things are related.

The early 90s team also had another thing that this team lacks: actual superior talent.

When you don’t have T’s and WR...it’s pretty hard to get too exotic. You many times make more mistakes as result. I will say they are not using certain people more than they should be. Get Pollard and Jarwin and Shultz malt liquor etc, more involved. Not Smith and Wilson and Elmer Fudd...they don’t have the time in,obviously have to play, but not as the primary focus of the passing game. “Hey Smith and Wilson...the season rides on you today.” Get real...that’s not fair to them.

Yeah I pretty much took Princeton off of the university list for my kids. I did not want them to graduate and then give a dead stare look back to their boss when they have no clue.

If Coop cant go, maybe it forces Moore to actually open up his Boise book of utilizing all hands on deck.
I love what Ive seen from Gallup, but he will need an actual game script that includes Pollard to keep the eagles defense honest.
I want Moore to succeed, and if he does so will the offense.

Look at that 90’s O-Line, nobody was gonna stop us. When Johnson went to the fins he didn’t do so well not having that talent. He had to actually coach. Not that he was bad, he had a no nonsense attitude that we don’t have now.

It's even more insulting that people still defend it. The mystery continues.

Jason Garrett has shown since 2007 his scheme requires pro bowl talent at all positions to put up 17-28 points a game

Its not about out planning the other team and attacking their weakness its about opposing your will

point blank he should be dismissed.....with our talent if you out-scheme you can win championships

On the defense and special teams. Our OL has been underperforming. Zeke runs only up the middle. Coaches won't play Pollard. Our recievers don't run comeback routes. Playcalling is predictable.

Emmitt made that line outside of Larry Allen and prime Erik Williams. Those 2 dominated.

Elliot runs the play called. The same predictable run up the middle. They will expect us to change it up Sunday. We will totally shock them and run up the middle this weekend.
