Wonder if they can still play.Emmitt made that line outside of Larry Allen and prime Erik Williams. Those 2 dominated.

Elliot runs the play called. The same predictable run up the middle. They will expect us to change it up Sunday. We will totally shock them and run up the middle this weekend.
The approach was the 90's cowboys approach. Larry Allen used to make a choo choo noise at the LOS. It didn't matter if the opposing defense knew what was coming. They couldn't stop it. But, Jimmy Johnson's strengths as a coach are where JG falls down. He's no leader of men. He has no motivational skills and he's certainly not coaching anyone up. JG is the players buddy.
So, It is not so much our style of play as the lethargic and lazy way the players go about it. .......and there is no accountability anywhere in the organization. Those 2 things are related.
Agreed. After last week when he had a blocker on (I think) a toss or outside run and cut inside instead of outside I would say he should have a chip on his shoulder. That was a game winning run if he makes the correct cut.Elliott needs to run pissed.
That was the opposite end of the spectrum.I remember players saying rob Ryan's scheme was too complicated
This coaching staff intentionally runs basic and easy schemes that even the opposing team can figure out what they are doing.
Sam darnold said it best when he said the cowboys “play like they always do” and that he knew what he had to do to win.
It’s been on record that this coaching a staff believes that hustling and winning 1 on 1 matchups is key to how the cowboys play/win football games.
My question is why? Are the players on the team not smart enough and have to play in a scheme where everything is “in front” of them and rely on athleticism?
Are the coaches using these basic schemes because they are not smart enough and don’t know any other way to play football?
Lazy or incompetent? Take your pick.
Yeah I pretty much took Princeton off of the university list for my kids. I did not want them to graduate and then give a dead stare look back to their boss when they have no clue.
.....throw in Money Divas. 90's team was about playing as a team. Now that the CAP emerged, Dallas teams now function as individuals playing ball. Big difference. The early 90s team also had another thing that this team lacks: actual superior talent.

Well don’t expect much this week, after bye will be more time. It’s not that easy to just throw in new packages for specific players on the fly in 5 days. But they should be using these guys in lieu of others more. Jarwin can make big plays...he’s a legit second level threat at TE. Shultz is proven to be solid underneath...Pollard is Pollard and no idea what in the hell they are thinking not giving him more touches. Asking myself that seems every game.If Coop cant go, maybe it forces Moore to actually open up his Boise book of utilizing all hands on deck.
I love what Ive seen from Gallup, but he will need an actual game script that includes Pollard to keep the eagles defense honest.
I want Moore to succeed, and if he does so will the offense.
The whole organization is underperforming.
you saying Mr Jones is all about $$$?Not according to Forbes...

Fans debating the coaching scheme of a team is more or less futile because we really don't know what is said or done. What we see on the field oftentimes looks like a complete lack of preparation, and as fans, we begin to make our own assumptions. Also, we all know Jimmy Johnson was a great coach, but it isn't really fair to compare Garrett to him. I encourage all of you to read "Boys Will Be Boys" by Jeff Pearlman. You want to know what was going on in that locker room? That will give many a different perspective. Also, the game was different in the 90s. I am not a fan of Garrett by any stretch of the imagination, but I stand by my belief that the only CONSTANT in the Cowboys organization is Jerry Jones. I believe he is the fundamental problem.
Given that, your statement about accountability is spot on. There is none, starting with the GM.
