It's all phony. Martellus just understands now how profitable the Cowboys can be for an ex-player with ties to the organization. He's just saying the right things to ensure that he can cash in on a good relationship with the organization in the future. It's all business

After reading that article, its obvious that whoever raised them, raised them wrong. 2 D-bags
Yup raised them to be hard working millionaires that changed their family history forever. In a positive way. They both do a ton of charity work and run kids camps for FREE. They both have NEVER been to jail or been in trouble with the law. Except for when Vegas said he "looked and acted like a suspect lol". Or some old lady tried to get him locked up at the SB, then found out it was totally bogus and thrown out and didn't even have to pay her off. Video security footage showed he didn't even touch the lady lol. Just shows you how they target you when you start to speak up.

This matches up with what guys like Orlando Scandrick said recently and what Dez has said in the past.

Two other guys whose honesty has blown up in their faces. Sadly, the guys who tell the truth are usually viewed as the negative 'malcontents', with some measure of truth to that description as well.

They couldn't use Irving there as a run stopper either. Those are actually a good comparison.

Irving was better as a run stopper than he gets credit for. Most fans' image of him as a run stopper is based on the Eagles' game where they took advantage of his aggressiveness to turn him loose and then trap block him in the backfield. It was a good tactic that a young player did not know how to counter. He just kept charging upfield expecting a different result.

At 6-7, 290 pounds, Irving was able to use his long arms to hold off linemen and shed them to make plays. Bennett is shorter and weighs about 15 pounds less. Still, I'm not counting him out at DT on early downs against the run because he has a veteran's understanding of how to play.

Paraphrasing Marty B:

great job bro
You’re now on a team that rewards mediocrity with huge contracts with little accountability

you got it made
Just don’t make waves and salute Jerry

You're a really bad paraphraser. I hope you don't paraphrase for a living. If you do you should look for a new job outside of paraphrasing.

This kind of surprised me that marvelous spoke so highly of the organization........I was thinking he was pretty bitter when he left.
Seems to be a theme this week with what Scandrick said to.

I can respect those words. We are all full of piss and vinegar when we are young. At least he knows he played a part in how things went in Dallas.

MartyB was one of the biggest underachievers relative to his physical talent that has been with the Cowboys.
  • I saw him up close at training camp in those years he was here.
  • He was one of the most physically talented players that I've seen relative to his position.
  • On days that he was in the mood to practice, he was completely dominant.
  • One minute he would be out catching passes over the heads of Safeties and CBs.
    • They had a drill where they had 2 DBs covering a receiver.
    • MB would still dominate them (when he was in the mood to do it).
  • A little later he would be over with the OLinemen dominating as a blocker.
  • He was literally a better blocker than several practice squad OLinemen.
    • Better than some OL that made the team.
    • A reporter once asked him about playing OT full time...
      • His answer: "I'm too pretty for that".
  • MartyB made the Pro Bowl once and made several million dollars, but...
    • He had Gronkowski type physical talent, maybe more.

They always were role models to some. You have to relate to understand.
Sorry I can’t relate to pushing elderly people, claim police brutality and then being caught on film lying about it.

Sounds like they were great role models for punks like Zeke. Too bad we don’t have more of them in society.

The cops did pull a gun on him and the video showed that old lady lied and he never touched her.

Martellus definitely sounds like he has matured since his younger years. Like we all do.

Very fair comments from him.
