The Dallas Cowboys & 49er’s are the only two teams in the NFL that have...

Top10 Scoring Offense & Total Offense
&
Top10 Scoring Defense & Total Defense

Pretty good Mid-Season Achievement.

Do you think they will be able to maintain these marks through the coming couple weeks?

Like Dak said, we are our own biggest rival. A team with those stats should have a better record than 5-3. I think they will finish top 10 in both categories. It still might not be enough to make the playoffs if they don't stop the untimely turnovers, drops, missed field goals, holding penalties, and 3rd down penalties on D.

Nope. Both teams are entering the tough part of their schedule. Luckily, the 49ers have good coaching and consistency, but I can’t say that will be good enough to keep their stats in the top 10. Their offense isn’t really all that great IMO. Their D is amazing though.

Dallas- I have no words I haven’t said before. Jason Garrett. Inconsistent. Shooting them selves in the feet. That is all.

And the Cowboys still managed it while losing 3 games. That's a much tougher achievement.

So the 49ers who have been dog crap for the last 6 years have good coaching and consistency because of a good start to this season? Meanwhile a team that has won their division 2 of the last 3 years are the model of inconsistency? Lmao y’all clowns will say anything nowadays

Garrett is consistently mediocre. He's been handed a talented team after taking over from Wade Philips and went 8-8 4 times in a row. Look at how talented our team is and yet our record is 5-3.

While Kyle Shanahan is on the verge of turning the bottomless pit 49ers from one of the worst teams in the NFL, to one that is leading the NFC in less than 3 years, Garrett consistently gets outcoached and losses to teams like the Jets.

I wish we had Kyle Shanahan as a coach. We probably would be 8-0 by now.

Kicking isn't gonna stop us making the play offs. Maher is 100% with pa's and has only missed 5 fg's, 3 of which were from 50 yards plus. This theory that Maher is a liability doesn't stand up to scrutiny. Josh Lambo is the only kicker to be 100% on fg's that has kicked as many as Maher but he hasn't attempted anything longer than 48 yards and he has also missed a pa.

According to those stats we should meet them in the NFC Championship game. Well, only if our offense learns our to score in the first half.

lol cool story. At least know how many times we went 8-8 cause it wasn’t 4. He took over an old washed up overpaid team that was trash in case you forgot they were 1-7 when Wade was fired. Your memory is completely off on what actually happened. Garrett spent 3 season retooling that old team and ever since has had multiple double digit seasons including going 13-3 with a ROOKIE qb. The grass is greener tho, I’m sure.

Yeah go ahead and kiss up and make excuses for Garrett. This team ain't going far with him coaching.

Yes, he has coached 8-8 seasons 4x. The last 8-8 season was when the Eagles won the superbowl. Beating the Eagles 2nd stringers is not an achievement.

Coaches like Tim Mcvee and Kyle Shanahan are turning their teams around within 2 to 3 years. Garrett is given talent and has yet to coach them to their full potential.

There is a reason why were 5-3. That's because of poor coaching.

Is there a point in time when we should move on to a new coach if playoff success isn’t achieved?

If so, when should that time be? 12 years, 18?

It simply seems at some point that maybe we should accept what he is and see if we can do better.

Maher has a big leg and accuracy issues.

This is the issue. His “process” is not immune to the need to produce results to justify his employment.

He has had 10 years to win and put together a championship. This is the year to put up or shut up...

We are in first place with a very talented roster. If we do not make the NFCCG— Garrett needs to be replaced.

I’ve never seen a team penalized for avoidable mistakes more. They need to start making examples of people for dumb mistakes

Lol you forget how many losing seasons it took the 49 to amass the talent to finally have a winning season....while Garrett's done it with 1 losing season.

Oh, I hope we get to play and beat the 49ers in the NFCC for old-time sake. That would be GLORIOUS! For the 100th season of the NFL, it's got to happen. I may be going beyond my expertise as I was born in 1992, but I can't think of two teams more enjoyable to watching the NFCC than us vs San Francisco.
