Zimmer is already putting in 20-hour work days this week to prove Jerry wrong for passing on him for Garrett, now we have to deal with an ultra-motivated QB. Dak hit the nail on the head - "We are our own biggest rival." I might need to put that quote in my signature.

yea, hes that petty, hes so mad being in MInnesota and he wont get over it, never ever, it burns in his soul every day and its the only thing hes ever dealt with in life.

I think you guys are reading too much into this.

I'm looking at it more like Jerry propping up his own QB than dissing Cousins. History has shown us that Kirk Cousins is easily rattled, so I don't mind Jerral putting some additional pressure on him so long as our pass rush gets after him as well. Kirk Cousins is NOT a winner in this league. Remember that. It'd be an entirely different story if Jerry came after Russell Wilson or someone in the upper echelon.

If Jerry was only the leader that Zygi Wilf is...We would have a real GM anc HC.

It is not wise to ever provide any opponent with additional motivation when they're coming to visit. LMAO, why do you think no other FO has ever done it? What a lame excuse for diarrhea of the mouth from that old fool. Does it really matter if it's true or not?

If Cousins has a good game and they win, be interesting to see how this plays out and you can bet the pregame SNF folks will be all over that. Even Buddy Ryan knew better, he'd talk about coaches but never openly about people that actually took the field.

It was an idiotic thing to do. The Vikings now have no choice but to rally around their QB. If they don't show up big for Cousins and win the game the headlines are already written: "Vikings Come Out Flat after Jones Questions their Leadership." It's the kind of loss that could start a tailspin.

They'll be fired up. Our guys better be ready.

Doesn’t take much to trigger most of yall

tighten up...
I think we are all tight but Jerry Jones talking about another teams qb....that's just too rich. You just don't do that in any manner, shape or form.

Not very sportsmanlike especially from a stinkin owner. Dude doesn't even coach.

It is hilarious. Jerry Jones comments every single time someone addresses him. He has talked so much all of his comments over the past 30 years would fill a pretty sizable book. However, it is rare when someone stops and asks themselves
why does he talk so much to get a better understanding of the man.

"Will he just shut up?"

lol. Time for a Jerry translation:

Jones: "If [Cousins] is the leader that Dak Prescott is, then he's really, again, he needs to go up a notch because Dak just commands the area that he's in."
Translation: Prescott has top-flight team leadership skills that Cousins does not possess. (pretty straight forward)

Jones: "I haven't necessarily heard that about Cousins"
Translation: I do not know of anything that contradicts my opinion of Cousins as a team leader.

In my opinion, Jones was bragging about Prescott being a much better quarterback in terms of leadership qualities than Cousins. Certainly, it did not need to be said publicly but I do not think Jones said it as bulletin board material--although the Vikings may not see it the same way.

I do believe his words are another example of his high opinion for his franchise quarterback. It is something certain observers should keep in mind as Jones attempts to lock Prescott down long-term.

Thankfully for us the Vikings are missing too many players to injury to really capitalize on this. They'll be missing their best WR, their steady NT and maybe their best CB. We should be fine.
