Nope. Both teams are entering the tough part of their schedule. Luckily, the 49ers have good coaching and consistency, but I can’t say that will be good enough to keep their stats in the top 10. Their offense isn’t really all that great IMO. Their D is amazing though.

Dallas- I have no words I haven’t said before. Jason Garrett. Inconsistent. Shooting them selves in the feet. That is all.
Yea after we went 3-5 at this point last season JG really was inconsistent.....no wait

For some reason, DAL needs to be inspired by being disrespected or punched in the mouth early.

Ummm. Holding calls at the worst possible times, dumb PI calls. Undisciplined penalties for being baited by other teams players.
I meant specifically which ones.

The “baiting call” on Woods, for instance, couldn’t have possibly been the right call. Or so it seemed. So that was not avoidable. The hold on Smith wasn’t a hold either.

while I cannot dismiss the shiny numbers as it does mean a lot. it does matter most vs the quality of the opposing team. - especially vs the better teams ..and most definitely in the PLAYOFFS

Saints, Green Bay, Philly, Vikes, Rams ...and most definitely the Pats.

Also .. I want to see those shiny stats come up big when we have to go On- The- Road vs these better teams as well.

Offensively When we are at HOME and more in our comfort zone, we tend to let it rip and fly be a bit more aggressive but when we are on the road, it's a bit more conservative,
- a bit more dink n dunk and safer - more playing not to lose, than going for the throat.

Defensively, is it the same ? - I'm not quite as sure. while we had really down games like Green Bay ..and especially the Jets (of all teams !) .. we've limited quality teams
like Saints to 12 points, ..and Philly ... the Giants with Barkley, Jones Golden Tate and Ingram we managed to stifle them to just 18 points.
And supposedly the opposing 3rd down conversions are down.

- And there are some promising glimpses and hope coming... Xavier may be emerging and getting into a better feel vs start of season. (he was battling high ankle sprain too)
DLaw seems like he is starting to emerge more and more into recent games since his own slow start at the season, ..
... and once Robert Quinn recovers fully from that rib injury suffered vs Philly, he's going to be right back where he started (exploded !) out of the gate off his 2 game suspension, ..

- Michael Bennett just arrived and he's already having an impact, I've seen film to where he is getting penetration from the middle and getting Giants OL off balance - just a heckuva natural pass rusher !
He's going to be twice what Crawford was in DE/DT hybrid role, imo.

- Wish we could've got more pure DT help but we'll have to manage what we already have here thus far, as we need bodies.
and luckily even Maliek has managed to stay healthy and not missing games as he has done in the past years.

Not sure if this has already been posted or not...

The Dallas Cowboys & 49er’s are the only two teams in the NFL that have...

Top10 Scoring Offense & Total Offense
&
Top10 Scoring Defense & Total Defense

Pretty good Mid-Season Achievement.

Do you think they will be able to maintain these marks through the coming couple weeks?

Which just is more reason Garrett has failed this team. Looks at the 49ers record and look at Dallas.

I get so sick of these threads bashing JG. Do you think JG and the entire coaching staff don't harp on playing penalty free football every day? Do you think the coach is out on the field making these mistakes? You haters picking on JG like he's not preaching the mantra every day is ridiculous. JG has turned this franchise around with INFINITELY better drafting, the players and team respond to him, we are competitive and we're top 10 in both D and O and... it's never good enough.

The officiating is a joke, makes watching the game darn near impossible anymore, yet it's horrible coaching somehow to blame? Just enjoy the ride and focus on the positives.

Probably not once we play the meat of our schedule.

Lol you forget how many losing seasons it took the 49 to amass the talent to finally have a winning season....while Garrett's done it with 1 losing season.

Dallas is also a very talented team as well. But right now Kyle is an upcoming coach and is leading the NFC. He is on his 3rd year as head coach and turned a bottom-dwelling team to one that is undefeated this year.

We are still waiting on Garrett to do something and is still has his training wheels on him.

That defense has been busting since way before his time. Kyle has helped that offense but their gm had built a good team regardless who the head coach is.

Going from a 4-12 record last year to being currently 8-0, something happened. Coaching improved? And they are obviously consistent if they are 8-0...

Well when you lose your starting QB like last year and then get him back for this year. Those type of things can happen

Yes their GM is serving them well. But it's hard to ignore that Kyle has turned that team around in just 3 years. They were awful the first two years he was the coach. Now they are on an upswing. Coaching matters. If it didn't why then has San Francisco turned it around in just 3 years?

Either way, they’re 8-0 so they’re doing something right. They’ve had injured players this year too and their coach still has prepared around those injures. That sounds like good coaching to me. Or maybe I’m just used to Garrett’s mediocrity that I forgot what a real coach was like...

Smith had multiple hold calls.
