Firing Jason Garret is the only solution to turn this ship around

I held back on this old beaten down debate, but until Garret is fired this team will be held back.

The question is Jerry Jones & Stephen Jones willing to ruin this season just in order to bring Dak’s contract down ( that’s why they kept Garret)? I believe going to Zeke at the end was a message to Dak that he doesn’t matter.

Us fans wanting Carrot shown the vegetable stew is one thing

Once the players revolt - which this current crop seems bent on getting their way

It's over...... And it'll get bad in the off season unless JJ listens to them

You can "promote" him to be the head of Cowboys archives. Let him talk about the Cowboy greats. He's good at making dumb speeches and I believe he was a history major.

It's tough knowing that whether you fire Garrett or not, your season is done. Hate to say it but Garrett is our best chance now, because an interim ain't doing nothing.

There are several pregnant solutions needed to "turning this ship around." Garrett is merely the starting point. More are due to follow! :omg:

I say promote Garrett to GM and Moore can be our new coach.

Oh wait, that was a take back in week 3 :muttley:

Firing garret would guarantee no such thing. The next guy could be better, could be worse. Indeed, I’d put my money on worse as Garrett has been better than average.

Never know till you try...........Garrett has been given a few pretty good rosters and other than a couple of good seasons he seems to hover consistently around 8-8 pretty much making his ceiling around mediocre. Time to move on.

Exactly. A decade of just better than average is enough to move on from.

I agree that Garrett is holding this team back. Firing him is a good start. But trust me when I tell you there are lots and lots of coaches that can hold this team back and Jerry will probably pick one of them because coaches that would not hold them back won't let Jerry meddle in things. Today Jerry was saying the Cowboys can help the running game by having Dak run the ball more. I won't argue that when Dak runs to make things happen the Cowboys offense is better, but those designed runs have not worked lately. Dak is best when he improvises and runs. Jerry needs to get a coaching staff and let them do the coaching and game planning.

I wonder if Dak not signing yet has to do with Garrett's extension? He probably realizes he doesn't want to sacrifice a championship like Romo did just for a big payday.

Firing Garrett is only part of the solution. Jerry still has to hire a good coach, which he could royally screw up. He clearly doesn't have the best track record of hiring coaches over the last 2 decades.

Then when he was finally better than 8-8 and twice able to get home field advantage thru out, what happened? NOTHING!

Garrett is not our best chance. If he is why hasn't he showed up yet?

He never was and never will be our best chance.
