I disagree that Garrett needs to go. He needs to be able to pick his own staff

It's tough knowing that whether you fire Garrett or not, your season is done. Hate to say it but Garrett is our best chance now, because an interim ain't doing nothing.

long time (60’s) fan . Garrett no Tom Landry. I’m in agreement let him finish the season

minus a NFC championship appearance good bye.

10 years is enough to gauge future success and playing catch up against good teams is a recipe for frustration and failure

You do realize however this season ends that a 5 year extension for Garrett
is more than likely the outcome right?

Wait til the offseason when a whole new coaching braintrust has been assembled and chants of Superbowl will rule this place. Couple years after that, we'll know if its any better or not.

Lol , turn this ship around? Lol . Garrett did turn the ship around, from the 2-14,4-12,5-11,6-10, 7-9, with coaches like Campo, Switzer, fat *** parcels, and fat *** Phillips, are you kidding me. Turn the ship around? Wow!! How ignorant can you be

The year before Phillips got canned, the Cowboys were 12-4. So this notion that Garrett took a franchise that had won like 10 games in 5 years total before he got there is absurd. Garrett was handed a team that had some pretty decent talent.

He's taken the Cowboys no further than Phillips did - never beyond a divisional round.

The players have changed over the last decade. The coaches have changed. The results largely have not. And what are the constants over that period? Garrett (and Jerry).

Jerry ain't firing himself. That leaves only one other problem you can fix.

Thats not the point at all. The point is you're wrong about a coach not worth a dang is going to want to be here.
I never said that. I said what makes you think a coach worth a dang will be here if we fire Garrett. The only coach Jones was willing to hire that was, was Parcells, and he only did that to get support for the stadium.

I don’t care who wants to be here. Jones will only hire someone who won’t over shadow him and will let him be the voice for the cowboys.

Doesn't really matter as long as this ridiculous situation finally comes to an end. No coach moving forward is getting the lifetime treatment that Garrett is getting. It's insane. Time for a change no matter who that brings.

Every year that JG has coached I've said, ok we have brought in some great players, new coaches blah blah blah. And then I say, well maybe next year.

Enough is enough. The Vikings game was one of the worst coaching attempts I've seen from a veteran HC.

Fire Garrett and hire who that’s going to make any difference?

Nobody. I’m telling y’all now it ain’t going to get any better.

But you guys heads so far up your you know what you can’t see it.

All y’all know how to do is blame and y’all can’t see any further than that.

Put that in 3 inch headlines.

Yep.

9 years. Roster churned. New coaches. Results the same.

I mean how much longer can people cover for the one constant in all of this - the head coach (well two constants - Jerry is the other).

Red ball has had nine years to prove he's a coach and most analyst, fans and other talking heads have come to the same conclusion. He has not proven to be a good head coach. In his same nine years many teams that have not won or never won a SB have. Teams who were thought bad have at least rebuilt and made it deep into the playoffs. Garrett continues to make the same rookie mistakes year end and year out. His teams continue to under perform. Under Garrett the only good quarterback we had since Troy Aikman career was basically wasted under this man. That would also include D Ware who went to Denver to finally win a SB. A Super Bowl if better coaching he would of had in Dallas.

Now we finally have another quarterback that's good as Romo. Should we give Garrett another 3 years or more to destroy Dak's career also? I say NO! Garrett if we lose against the Lions should be immediately let go-as in FIRED! If I'm Dak?I wouldn't even sign another contract until Jerry get's a real coach in here. "MAYBE" that's the true reason Dak has not re-signed. I for one hope it is. You've seen what happened to Tony Romo in Dallas under Garrett. Why would you wish that on yourself?

But Garrett isn't the main problem. We all know it's Jones behind the curtain still pulling the strings! And from what Jethro said this morning about not wanting to score to early. He's as dumb as the ole man. God help us....Any way it's hard to score in the NFL. You score when you can not when you run the clock down to where you want it:facepalm: Another problem is Dallas is just football dumb from top to bottom. I wouldn't let any of these guys even near a Madden control game pad. Much less a real football team at any level. Jerry wants to make me money? Oh heck yes!!!! He wants to run my football team? Oh hell naw!!!!!! Lock the doors and anyone lets him near the team is FIRED!!

So what are you suggesting? Just keep letting Garrett coach here and hope he gets lucky and goes on a run?

What about the previous 13 years?
You blaming Garrett for that as well?

That was all Jerry, the drafts and decision making were just at an all time low. Horrendous from the draft to free agency to the cap to the ridiculous trades. It was a complete mess.

But it’s for exactly the reason I said — Jones can be at the center and dominant personality. He doesn’t want to change the arrangement.

This is like beating a dead horse, but, here it goes.

THE ONLY TIME this franchise will start succeeding and becoming a competitor for Super Bowls again is when the JONES' family sells the team. Not in our lifetime.. Sorry.

I am sick of Jason Garrett, and have been. I am ready for the next puppet to be brought in .

Garrett is history after the season over. We have to suffer through the consequences one last time.
