More good news from an on-the-field standpoint, but this team has squandered those perceived advantages time and time again anyway:
  • They faced the Saints without Drew Brees - a huge advantage - and lost
  • They faced the Jets with Sam Darnold, a young quarterback anyway, returning from a layoff - and lost
  • They faced the Vikings without their top receiver Adam Thielen - and lost
  • Now they face Detroit without their starting quarterback?
It should be a distinct advantage, but if we've learned anything, it's that this team knows how to squander opportunity.

Oh yeah. And that's not even including the fact that we faced Green Bay without Davante Adams and somehow allowed Aaron Jones to rush for 4 TDs.

Road game. This defense made Darnold look like an established MVP QB and even despite all of Daniel Jones' turnovers, it was still a 5 point game midway through the 4th quarter. The Lions have better receivers than the Jets/Giants...I fully expect this defense to get torched on the road.

I think I can speak for many of us here in the sense that a win here would be at least uplifting in a sense. I know we're not going anywhere if we make the playoffs, but seeing some positive steps in the growth of our QB and Offensive playcaller is much needed... I think most of us agree Garrett will be gone unless he turns this thing around, but his chances are slim to none. Lets enjoy a possible win and Eagles loss and at least enjoy hopefully seeing more growth by our amazing young QB and Kellen "The Beaver" Moore whom does have great potential.

I've never seen such pessimism before a game while the Cowboys are leading their division. Good job, "fans".
Fan is a noun.
Disappointed and optimistic are adjectives.
Fandom is an object.
Disappointment and optimism express emotions and feelings.
Some fans are optimistic and some are pessimistic. Feelings don't change fandom. They merely describe it. :)
