Would Rudolph have agreed not to pursue charges to avoid suspension of his own

The terrible precedent would have been fining or suspending Rudolph. That's why you didn't see it.
screw that... he started it all ... he deserves at the very least a game better yet two... but we all knew it wouldn't happen, as the league protects the stealers

How? You can suspend both players easily. Both played a part.

Even though that's true, I didn't see anything Mason did to warrant anything more than maybe being tossed from the game. I think it was 2016 when DT Irving and a player from the Packers were both ejected for a skirmish involving grabbing facemasks. They don't usually suspend players further.

You don't suspend Rudolph based on what Garrett did. Pretend Garrett didn't swing the helmet, how many games does Rudolph get? None.

"He started it" is an elementary school argument.

Doesn't work for adults. Adults are responsible for their own actions.

thats why Mason deserves some of the blame.... he doesn't deserve absolution because he got beaned... his actions escalated the situation by behaving like a spoiled brat

He got some of the blame. A proportional amount.

Garrett is responsible for his share for not being able to control himself like a normal adult.

I suspend Mason for instigating a brawl. Not that hard to see. He started it. Then it was seemingly over. He ran back at Myles again and tried to throw punches. Then he got put down by a bigger guy.

Seems like if he wouldn't have lost his cool and acted like an infant none of this would be happened.

And his actions were childish. He ran at a bigger guy because he maybe got tackled late. Bigger guy out him down. That's about as adult as it gets bud.

Next time Mason might want to keep his cool and maybe he won't get knocked on his butt. I can understand his frustration though..he sucks.

Thankfully, it doesn't appear anyone with any sense, or authority , shares your viewpoint.

Myles acted like an infant but not Mason, right? Lol

Nobody is that concerned about who acted immature. If that was the standard for suspension, they would have to cancel most games.

The concern is for those that have so little self control that they can't prevent themselves from trying to seriously cripple someone when they get their feelings hurt.

Again, you're suspending him based on what Garrett did. Had he not done this, Garrett wouldn't have done that. It doesn't work that way on or off the football field. Each are judged by what they did, not what they allegedly caused someone to do. Even if you act like an infant you're not responsible for what someone else does. Mason probably won't be getting a suspension because what he did doesn't call for one. Skirmishes like this happen from time to time and you don't see suspensions handed out. The fact Garrett decided to use a helmet as a weapon doesn't mean other players get suspended regardless of what they did. You can disagree but that's the reality.

I'm disciplining him for running at a player and trying to throw punches and also kicking another player in the groin.

Actually I believe you just got done saying Myles got suspended for not being able to control.himself.like an adult, didn't you?

I'm saying Mason didn't either. Try and keep up.

And no one tried to cripple anyone lol. But someone did try and.kick someone else in the groin with a cleat because they got their feelings hurt..

Responsible adults can stop themselves before bludgeoning someone in the head with a helmet when they get their feelings hurt. That's what the suspension was for, not for acting like an infant like you suggested.

That's fine, for what he did. But I didn't see Mason do anything that would get him suspended beyond that game. Like I said, skirmishes happen. Players get tossed and life goes on. Mason doesn't get anything extra because of what Garrett did. You don't punish someone for what someone else does because of what you did. That's chaos. It doesn't work that way.

Responsible adults can also stop themselves from throwing a tantrum and trying to kick someone in the groin for tackling them in a football play, as well.

Little Mason got his feelings hurt. He stepped to a bigger guy. He got dropped.

He's lucky it was on a football field instead of the parking.lot. He might be in alot worse shape right now. Next time control yourself like an adult and you won't get hurt.

Players get disciplined for instigating brawls and skirmishes in pro sports all the time dude. I'm not advocating blaming him for what Myles did..but if he would've kept his temper none.of.this would've happened.

Myles deserved a suspension..he admitted it and said it was his bad.

Mason acted like a little punk and didn't take responsibility for any of it.

That's the difference between the two guys to me.

Everyone is lucky they weren't in a parking lot or they would be dealing with the police instead of the NFL commissioner, and Garrett wouldn't have had people to stop him before he did something even more serious. Garrett could have spent his next few years bragging to his cell mate about being able to beat up a backup QB

I agree with this 100% with you. But you still can't suspend someone for what might or might not have happened. I'm not arguing that Mason wasn't a factor. He was the driving force behind it. But you have to understand that it doesn't matter. You can only judge Mason by what he did. Which isn't much in terms of scrums like these in the past. Mason isn't responsible for what Garrett did as a result. That's how they'll treat this. That's always how they treat things off the football field as well.
