A year ago many on here were calling for and wishing Romo would return from retirement and pick up the QB mantle.

A year later, Dak has put this team on his back with an under-performing running game, under-performing defense, and a superhuman / inconsistent kicker. Dak is in the MVP conversation and if he continues on this path, he has a good shot of getting a nod.

Any Dak haters still out there?

The Dak haters still exist, believe it or not.

They’d rather see Dak and the Cowboys fail than see Dak and the Cowboys succeed.

They have their “reasons” and it’s not hard to figure out WHY some of them will never accept Dak as our QB.

They’ve been tarred, feathered and ridiculed yet keep coming back.

Dak has absolutely ruined them. Ruined their fan experience, ruined their reputations and ruined their Sundays repeatedly this year.

Don’t even discuss football with them. Just point at them and laugh. They’re complete jokes.

Dak wins. They lose. In a landslide.

Haters I would say no but doubters big time as all these wonderful passing stats this year have come against the below-ranked pass defenses and the only team with a winning record we have beaten is the Eagles which started with the best scenario for us.

We have only played one top 10 passing D (Saints - 10th).
Then we have played: 14th, 16th, 18th, 19th, 23rd, 24th (x2), 26th,27th.

Now also factor the injury-riddled teams we have played this year including the refs who are pushing us after many years positively well I would be very conservative before rejoicing about the above.
Now I hear a lot of talk that we are now a passing team and Zeke is done ect ect ect . Let's all pause and wish us GL with that theory when it comes time to face real defenses as I fear when Dak doesn't have 10 seconds in the pocket and our WR are facing DB who leave very small windows things here might change in a jiffy.
Now call me hater but not recognizing the above reality is football homer ball and troll selling.

P.S. No Great offline ( Not even the Dallas wall) can stop a Great Defense.....

Diarrhea of the mouth again, PoopyDog???

Let's see how Dak did against that vaunted Top 10 Saints Defense...

Dak went 22 for 33, completing 67% of his passes for 223 yards. That's with no Michael Gallup due to injury. Our biggest pass catcher was Witten with 50 yards because our WRs either were not getting open or dropping key passes and committing dumb penalties. Still, Dak had the team with the lead starting the 4th quarter, losing by 2 points in the end thanks to a fumble on 4th and short by Zeke and Amari Cooper committing a costly offensive pass interference on the last drive with no timeouts and time running out. And the almighty highest paid RB Zeke? How did he do on the ground? 18 rushes for a paltry 35 yards and a sorry 1.9 yard average per carry. Yuck!

You're pointing the blame at the wrong player, Poopy. I believe you don't know what you're talking about. That problem all season long has not been Dak. It's been others on this team.

It is so obvious by now, but let’s update this year’s stats again.

NFL Quarterbacks Draft Class 2016

Jared Goff
Yards: 2783
% Comp: 60,3%
Touchdowns: 13
Turnovers: 15

Carlos Wentz
Yards: 2274
% Comp: 61,2%
Touchdowns: 17
Turnovers: 7

Dak Prescott
Yards: 3221
% Comp: 67,7%
Touchdowns: 24
Turnovers: 9

note: touchdowns includes rushing TDs

Btw kudos to Kellen Moore and Jon Kitna for the leap Dak made this offseason.

I wouldn’t have even known that he posted if you hadn’t replied. He went on ignore awhile back. The ignore function is great for filtering out these posters. I like a good debate as much as the next guy, but have no patience for trolls who blow up their players while ignoring stats and figures that show the opposite.

I agree with you that things can change in a jiffy. Like next week vs New England, Dak is gonna face a much tougher defensive line and the windows are definitely gonna be tighter. I'm not stupid enough to think Dak is gonna throw for 400 yards against the Patriots, which is why he has to REALLY secure the ball, not fumble (he has 0 fumbles this year, but let's hope he doesn't collect his first next week), and at least put us in position to not hurt ourselves.

Though.... you sound pretty desperate for a Super Bowl. If so, you certainly need to address other things about the team and not just look at our QB. Do you expect to win a Super Bowl with this defense? If so, then you should probably look at our defense for once and not just laser-eye on Dak. If not, then you're just gonna have to accept the team for what they are right now. It's a good team, but it's hardly a team that's gonna roll over the Patriots and the Ravens en route to a Super Bowl win.

Zeke and Garrett failed us on the Saints game. If he had not ran it on 1st downs all the time we would have given Dak a chance to win the game. Only when we started to pass the ball did we start moving the sticks. But no, Garrett had to try and force running it with Zeke up the middle.

You are correct the QB is last on my mind as this team is by no means close to being a Superbowl caliber team.:(

We lost to a team without its star QB and our defense held them to 4 FG and we could only manage 10 pts.
This is what you consider a good game for Dak?
GL man and GL to all of us as reality is coming and its coming hard!

Rewatch the game. Get properly educated. Dak was not the problem. You simply can't admit it. Dak has been tearing it up lately, and all you can do is complain? Do everyone a favor and go follow another team.

Why can’t Dak play defense as well? All we are demanding is perfection and he can’t even give us that. Now if only Romo were out there he’d show you how it was done. ~Pappy

No I prefer to watch Dak tear apart broken lousy injured riddled defenses then proclaim him a STUD QB here.
Beating teams with winning records and playoff caliber defense nahh Dak don't play that!

I'm pretty sure that was Moore's call. Just because it fails doesn't mean you get to blame Garrett. Too bad, but it's true.
