Since we won our last Super Bowl twenty three years ago, 12 different NFL teams have won the last 23 SBs, 10 of the 16 NFC teams have won the last 23 NFC championships, and 13 of the 16 NFC teams have won at least divisional playoff games. None of them is named Dallas.

Only the skins and the lions join us in not playing in an NFC championship game since then.

That kind of playoff drought in this era of NFL parity is not bad luck. It’s not the NFL “cheating us”. It’s just bad football management, a bad culture, and maybe even some bad karma. That’s what this pig headed owner has done to this once great franchise. Anyone else remember when we were what the patriots are now?

It’s not bad luck that has tarnished the star. It’s bad leadership at the top.
Jerry Jones needs to have a come to Jesus meeting at the Tom Landry statue....the drought(23yrs) is approaching the same length of time Coach was here(29).....that ain't coincidence.

Ya know what? Lots on here complain about the "Refs." Rightfully so. I know, I used to be one. But instead of screaming about the Refs, direct your anger where it belongs. The Refs are simply doing what they're told to do. Games are being manipulated.

If you can't see that you are blind - if you won't see that , you're a fool.

Man I would enjoy this board so much more if there wasn’t a weekly ref excuse despite refs being bad league wide. Can we have a ref whiner forum so this is a football one?
The NFL just came out and said the 2 tripping penalties by the REFS in the 4th quarter were wrong!! Dallas fans who are complaining about these calls are not making excuses. They are using common sense!! The opportunity to continue game winning drives in the 4th quarter were taken away from us!!!

The officiating in this game hurt our team 100 times more than it hurt NE. If you don’t understand that, I feel bad for you.

They did allow a catch to not be a catch, but then later a catch. They did call too absolute BS tripping penalties that stopped drives, and never happened. How often is tripping called? Much less twice in one game, and BOTH entirely bogus.

I'm not always on board for crying about penalties. In fact, I typically complain about whiners with it. Even with the ones in this game, I felt we lost by poor coaching 100%.

However, we would have possibly won that game despite crap coaching, if not for crap, questionable officiating.

No it didn’t! We held on multiple screens that weren’t called. This went on to produce FGs snd keep us in a game. Same with PI calls. All calls that are weak affect a portion of the game for both teams. People here just have this irrational mindset that the league is out to get us. The league apologizes to teams weekly. You are just whining when the issue was coaching, special teams etc. It’s weak sauce. Go to your crib. The tripping calls were bs and made me mad but we still had chances all game to win. NE played pedestrian snd with and without calls we didn’t do much. Truth

I used to think like you, but I have seen the light. Remember the Green Bay catch/non-catch. That was a travesty.
But you don’t want to talk about how they even got to that game with the officials help, do you?

there were lots of post in july and august about how this is the most talented team the cowboys have had so the front office gave them a pretty good roster to work with so if those posts were true then why are they 6 and 5 and looking like a average to below average team according to the stats that the offense produce weekly this should be a 8.9 win team so its not the talent and the front office gave them a good roster to work with there is only one area left and that's the coaches the staff from top to bottom are failing

Jerry built Jerry World. And slammed it down right next to Six Flags. That's all he's ever wanted. It's why he hired Parcells. And it's the only reason.

I've been there twice. And regretted both times. It sucks balls compared to Texas Stadium.

Just like Jerry can suck my balls.

But at the end of the day, its still about the Cowboys. Not Jerry. At least to me.

Jerry would rather be comfortable than competitive. Two super bowl-winning coaches decided dealing with Jerry just wasn't worth it. People just don't leave jobs that they love and have success at. Bill turned a 5-11team around and got them to the playoffs, Jimmy won back-to-back Super Bowls, yet they both walked out on Jerry. That tells you all you need to know.

The kind of coached needed, Jerrah do not won't because he wants the credit and being able to say he did his way.

Yea the Conspiracy Theory is rubbish.. The NFL revenue juggernaut is going to intentionally cutoff its Golden God generator. Make perfect sense.

What many of you fail to consider is the fact that, Yes, Dallas is THE revenue generating juggernaut ... but not necessarily because people want to see them win ... there are millions who watch the Cowboys to see them lose and humiliated. More money in that than letting it play out even.

Obviously the NFL has it in for the Commanders and Lions, too. They won't let them win, either!
Thank you! It’s sad our fans need as much or more tissue as the Aints! That’s how low we’ve sunk!

This is what you get with the combination of a runaway ego as a celebrity and no repercussions for failure. This is the old starlet that keeps showing up and getting applause in the form of financial support.

In his egocentric mind, he's built an empire complete with the most watched sports franchise in the world and if we think he didn't puff out his chest when the ratings revealed the most watched regular season game in 13 years, we've not been watching close enough. He holds himself solely responsible for that....along with that team that keeps winning rings.

This isn't just a football team, it's much more than that, it's his own personal relevancy arena and the opportunity to show off his toys. Are you aware of what any other owner has? Do they feel the need to make sure the media gets the details on his possessions?

But, I do not blame Booger. I blame myself because I continue to follow this team, although not with the gusto and passion I once had. Even though I've never given him one cent of revenue since he bought the team, I still allow him space in my mind and my time and that is currency.

So, this is what we're resigned to, Groundhog Day with Booger hoping he'll get lucky because the fact is he's not good enough without luck. Waiting for him to die so the next generation can step in. "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss". We seem to never tire of getting fooled again.

However, I am on the downside. My fond memories of great teams of the past are slowly being replaced by the futility and as I was once spoiled by expecting the playoffs, now that has become the goal.

Winning a playoff game is who we are now. We do not want to accept that but that's who we are, we are the Lions and Skins. All of that America's Team is the window dressing.
Well said!

Talent isn't the problem. Its Jerry hiring morons like Garrett to run the talent.
True. But it’s this owner that is the biggest problem.

With his nose in coaches meetings, holding post game press conferences in the locker room, undermining his HC by making public statements about player discipline before discussing it with him, and making himself the face of this franchise for nearly 25 years, Jerry Jones is primarily responsible for this culture.

Yes the head coach is terrible, but Jerry is the one continuing his employment. Yes we have better talent than the record but isn’t the person at the top who constantly crows that he’s responsible for everything from jocks and socks to hot dog buns the one most culpable for this entire near quarter century drought? Yes he is.

Most definitely and obviously by Jerry. Red just took the money, can't blame him at all.
