Sorry, no misleading stat here.....he was hyped and paid as a sack master and he's failing, as expected. Even with another better pass rushing sacker on the other side, Lawrence has been a failure, other than diss a kid fan who was asking for an autograph.....Just another low class, over-paid, overhyped Cowboy player failing to live up to his performance expectations.

If sacks mean everything, Shaq Barrett (14.5) and the Buccaneers must have a dominant defense.....right?

Like I said, don't get caught up in numbers. If Dallas cut D-Law today all 31 other teams would put in a waiver claim. If they made him available for trade, multiple teams would offer a first round pick.

Being able to disrupt plays, hurry a QB, pressure a QB is just as important and sometimes those things don't show up on the stats sheets.

That was what Dallas lost in Tyrone Crawford; not a lot of stats, but the dirty work he did inside really helped others guys put up stats
wish people would stop defending him, he is just average at best.

You obviously want sacks, but it doesn't tell the whole story - if he's opening things up for Quinn to get to the QB, why complain? It's not like he's god awful either, again, he has the pressures and hurries, he's great against the run - I can go through and point out multiple DEs that have these random seasons where they just can't get to the QB and their sacks are down.

JJ Watt went from 20.5 sacks in 2011 to 10.5 sacks in 2012. Obviously D-Law isn't JJ Watt, but you get the point - this stuff happens. I'd agree with you if it seemed he wasn't making an impact anywhere, but he's still impacting the game in a major way.
Bottom line is he's not getting it done. With that contract, you expect way more than to just have him open it up for the guy on the other side and play well against the run. Pressures don't really mean squat if u don't get there or have them lead to turnovers.

You can't have a guy taking up that much cap to do what he's doing.

BB has let more talent go on the d-line than we presently have. Can't pay good players #1 money.

He’s 11th in TFL with 12.5, which is more than Quinn. I get that’s not a sexy stat to those that are somewhat oblivious to many of the other duties of a DL, but that’s a damn good number on a team that has shown it’s not really as strong against the run as the “stats” say. Because, there’s quite a few stats that this team has this year that don’t mean squat in the grand scheme of things.

Tank is a very good player that is having a nice season, particularly against the run. However, he doesn't look like an elite pass rusher in the mold of the greats. Tank said it himself to be elite you need 10+ sacks every season. Still time to get there with a few big games, but believe Lawrence's skill level is somewhere between Greg Ellis and Demarcus Ware.
