Urban Meyer
Lincoln Riley

who else?

I think Urban Meyer and Lincoln Riley are unlikely. I believe Jerry will want to retain Kellen Moore after all Dak has been in this offensive system for 4 years. NFL offensive systems are very complex. Installing a new offensive system could set Dak and the offense back. I believe Jerry will hire a defensive minded HC for this reason. Although our defense has not performed as expected this season, I think the mostly likely new head coach will be Kris Richards or some other defensive minded head coach. I could be wrong. Urban Meyer might be willing to keep Kellen Moore and offensive system and just modify it some. But I believe that is unlikely. But who knows Jerry may decide to not sign Dak to a long term deal and franchise tag him, and draft a new QB In that case you might want to go with a new offensive system.

Y'all are all high.

Garrett will be back next year after we make the conference championship game this year.

Book it.

Urban, Lincoln, and Dabo. Throw in Roman. And my out of bounds pick, Art Briles.

You might be right. Jerry does love his red headed step-child the clapper. But if this team makes the championship game this year I will be surprised.

The guy from Baylor should be on the list. I appreciate a guy that takes a lower end Recruiting program (Compared to Oklahoma/Alabama/etc) and makes them relevant. Rhule is his name I believe.

I dont think Kellen Moore matters. He has been a coach for all of two years. If a HC hire is predicted on Moore, then you may as well make Moore the HC

What I don’t want is another one of these offensive genius types. NFL defensive coordinators always figure out your gimmick sooner or later. Then you are left with a guy who should really have just been an OC playing HC.

give me a strong leader of men who controls everything and can demand excellence from both sides of the ball and all his coaches.

Lincoln Riley is interesting but aren’t his defenses terrible?

If Jerry is in love with Kellen Moore then he may go after someone like the Niners DC and force him to work with boy genius.

This guy does have a really good back story/resume at the college level. I would definitely like him without the meddlesome owner of course. If status quo or all things remained the same I could see him as just another puppet. But if Jerry decided to do a step back hands off approach, and gave this guy full authority, I think this type of out of the box hire might be a long term solution. Pure speculation and opinion on my part is all.

Saban/Riley and a lot of those guys have it really really cushy. They will always get the top recruits in the country because of the history of the programs they inherited. Coaches of colleges like Baylor...meh, not so much so pay attention to what they do if they succeed, I say. Not saying he should be the definite hire but he should garner some "due diligence".
