I just want you to know I threw my name in the hat for the HC positon.
I'm going to call the offense, defense and special teams.

If hired, I'm hiring @Ranching as my quality control coach.
This way, the fridge will always be stocked.
I my have a coach's only bar built at The Star.

@Corso will be the Head of Public Relations.
This way, all reporters will be left dumbfounded after any
ridiculous question is turned, twisted and tossed back at them.

Wish me luck.

I dont think Kellen Moore matters. He has been a coach for all of two years. If a HC hire is predicted on Moore, then you may as well make Moore the HC

Its not so much Kellen Moore but the offensive system that is in place. Dak has been in this system for 4 years. If you clean house then Dak and the offense will need to learn a new system which could become a setback. I personally agree with you I don't think Jerry should limit his head coaching search but I feel that Jerry will choose to keep Moore because of Daks familiarity with the system which by default will limit his search as offensive minded head coaches will naturally want to hire there own OC and install a new offensive system. Im not saying I agree with it but I feel this will be what Jerry himself chooses.

Urban Meyer
Lincoln Riley who else?
Riley Riley Riley. How many more posts about Riley?!

Wake up already. Riley would owe OU millions if he chose to leave for NFL job. In January, the OU Board of Regents approved Riley's contract extension, which keeps him as the Sooners' HC through the 2023 season. Don't believe me, read Switzer's objective.

Here's the latest on Riley from Switzer when asked if he was leaving.

"No, he's making more money (now) than Jerry (Jones) will pay him with the Cowboys and he's got a chance to win consistently," Switzer said on The O'Colly. "And the Cowboys? I don't know if the Cowboys can win consistently. In that league, everybody drafts good players. Every weekend, you can get your butt beat by somebody else. It's a tougher job. There's more parity there than college ball.

"Lincoln has a great job, has a great product to sell. University of Oklahoma has a great tradition. Kids from Texas are easy to recruit there too. More people would rather have the job he just left (Oklahoma) than the Cowboys probably."

You're assuming the Cowboys don't win the NFCE.

Cause they certainly wouldn't can Garrett after he finally wins back to back division titles, would they? ;)

That itself is adding a limitation to the equation as most HC's like an Urban Meyer isn't going to let Jerry saddle him with a OC. Also, this idea that Dak and the rest of this offensive group might have to learn a new offense is viewed as some great task when this happens in the NFL almost every season. Teams swap out offense and defensive scheme. Some go from a 4-3 to a 3-4 or a hybrid system. Some go to a power run game or a more spread offense etc. The larger question I have, is why is such change frowned on in Dallas? Are these players somehow not smart enough to learn a new offense?

I think Ranching would drink it all after he stocked it...

@Corso is a great choice for PR...

This is a team that fired a SB winning coach. Also Garrett's bar was the NFC title game.

Then again, after Jerry's slobber fest the other night who the hell knows anymore. Even Jerry doesn't know what Jerry is going to do. For all we know Garrett can miss the playoffs and still be brought back.

Saban/Riley and a lot of those guys have it really really cushy. They will always get the top recruits in the country because of the history of the programs they inherited. Coaches of colleges like Baylor...meh, not so much so pay attention to what they do if they succeed, I say. Not saying he should be the definite hire but he should garner some "due diligence".

Totally agree man. Was not familiar with him at first but did my own Google due diligence and was intrigued at his ability to turn around previously poor performing football programs. I understand the dynamics of the college and pro game. There are blatantly obvious differences in coaching. I just think after reading up on this guy that he might possess the right stuff towards possibly changing how things have always been towards a better/brighter future. Just a gut or hunch thing. But yeah, I share your opinion on him for sure.

The offensive system is actually still Garretts system. Moore is just adding more motion to the plays
