I like LVE but if he's going to have lingering neck/back problems, cut bait now

I like LVE, but if he's going to have lingering neck/back problems; cut bait now. The team waited on Smith (flash in the pan). Gregory, is at home playing video games, with his child. When will this team learn how to let go of dead weight?

There are a few lineman, that may also need to be moved, but the Cowboys will ride, until they die. The rigidity of this team is astounding. Do it one way for a long period of time, with little success.

Don't get me wrong, I want every player to receive equal opportunity to flourish. But this team is ridiculous. Talk, coddle, talk.

I'd say use him for his 4 years, and possibly 5th year option.

But LVE, a lot like Leary, won't be worth an extension. Not only with possibly lingering injuries, but his play on the field has been questionable at best.

I think his play on the field has been a result of playing through injuries this year. Last year he was mostly healthy and played at a pro-bowl level as a rookie. He, like most players on defense, seems to have regressed this year. You gotta look at the coaching. It's just awful. Once we get a real coach in here I would assume he would evaluate the pieces we have and hopefully look to move on from some of the garbage that has hung around on this team.

If he can make it that far.

Cut bait now on an injury that we do not know at this moment how bad it is.

Why? He costs very little and when healthy has played at an All-pro level.

Out of the guys you listed, only LVE has taken a roster spot(this year)

Smith was on reserve list his rookie year so he didn't count against the 52 man roster.
Same with Gregory at this moment since he's suspended.

There is/was no dead weight with either of those two players.

Talk about a rash, and dumb decision.

We don't yet know the extent of lve's Injury. He might be fine in a couple of weeks. Seems rash to be talking about culling him from the team.

That's why I began with "if". Nothing wrong with thinking ahead.

Read the post, I said "if". If I were to say, we need to get rid of LVE because he's injured. I could understand your statement. Some of you want to cut bait on serviceable players, and I mention a possibility, and you go ham.

Thank you, nothing wrong with being proactive.
Cutting a 1st-round pick in year two because he might have a bad injury isn't proactive lol.

KC should cut their losses with Mahomes and not sign him b/c he might hurt his knee again.

He didn't break anything in his neck, he has pain and inflammation. Damn, give the guy some time to heal.

You and others like you, need to learn how to comprehend. I did not say cut him for no reason. I said if he is going to have lingering injuries to his neck/back, they SHOULD cut bait. If it is temporary, yes, it would be ludicrous to get rid of a young, athletic, serviceable linebacker. I am glad Andrew Luck, has a brain for himself. Mahomes situation, does not even compare, but nice try.

As a fan, you have no idea what is going on. Trent Williams had cancer, but the Commanders tried to blow smoke. Read what I said, instead of reacting like the ill-informed.
