How about an off-season trade for Mike Zimmer

I would love to see this happen. A hard nosed defensive coach that has a history in Dallas. Is a link to the last Super Bowl team we had in the 90s. He also learned a lot during his time under Bill Parcells. From what I understand, he’s very close to the Stephen, Jerry, and the Jones family and still goes hunting with them on some of Jerry’s property. Would be a no-brainer if Minnesota was stupid enough to let him go. 1 year left on his deal. Thoughts?

Zimmer's head coaching history looks very much like the up and down roller coaster we have seen with Garrett. I wouldn't give up draft picks for that.

Or just hire an up and coming coordinator and use the picks on what is probably going to be a 2 year defensive rebound!

He got out coached on Monday night. The Vikings have just as much talent as we do. They will be the wildcard team and at best (when they beat us) will lose in the second round.

Trade for Mike Zimmer? Lol What has he won? This is his sixth season with the Vikings and has only led them to the playoffs twice. His playoff record is 1-2.

This is how we know our problem isn’t coaching. This board was ecstatic when Zimmer left as D-Coordinator.

I really don't want either but if I had to choose, give me Zimmer all day.

Zero interest in Rivera as a HC. Good dude. Good DC. Mediocre HC. We need a culture changer, not the status quo.
What about Zimmer is any different than what you just listed for Rivera? You could swap those two and both franchises would be exactly the same today.

We want to get better, not stay the same.

Hard pass.

I'm not advocating Rivera, but I'll gladly take his four seasons making the playoffs and making the Superbowl over Garrett making it three times and never getting past the Divisional round.
