Orlando Scandrick confirms it: We're running a 2001 offense in 2019

this sounds exactly like the Garrett philosophy
How many different plays do you think can be run on a football field?
The Eagles used to say when Jimmy was the coach that they knew what play was coming, but couldn't stop it.
Personnel, skill, and discipline as well as attitude make the difference.

and here come the usual Garrett groupies who just can’t admit they have been wrong and duped by him

And here comes the nonsense posts that make no sense as a response to what they quote.

Feels like it but this is actually only his second full season away from the team.

He was here for Awuzi, Lewis and Woods rookie season.

I guess that's right. Thought he had been gone a year longer than that. Thanks.

Of course we are. And I’m not Moore’s biggest fan but he’s coaching from a outdated playbook. It’s sad. He’s learning the job on the go from a outdated playbook.

Agree. I think Garrett told him you run this, but put in some wrinkles with motion that make it look different. The opposition after a few games figured that out.

Watching the game last night I saw the Bears players pointing to where they knew the run was going to go. But for Zeke bulldogging a few more yards, or finally getting a crease they were right in their call

Anyone remember when the ravens played in Texas stadium... I believe it was the last game we ever played there.

I remember them beating us and ray Lewis and Ed reed at the end of the game commenting about how stupid our offense was. Garret always the OC at the time.

It’s not simply that we aren’t creative enough. It’s not being able to utilize personnel effectively and adjust.

and it’s been going on for years now. Garret basically does nothing. Kellen moore was promoted and prob wasn’t ready ect ect

I think he's ready, but shackled by needing to run Garretts offense with a few motion wrinkles

I really didn't think too highly of Scandrick for a long time, but his last few interviews have shown me a new side.

I respect his opinion now and he seems like a stand-up dude. Bluntly honest, which rubs people the wrong way, but I respect it.

TO, Patrick Crayton, Dez, and other players have spoken out against Garrett and they were 100% correct.

Scandrick wasn’t here then.

and of course we are running the same Garrett playbook. That’s why we brought in Linehan. The change was primarily done because Garrett sucked as a play-called. He interfered with Callahan, who was changing the offense. Jerry specifically said that was the reason they brought in Linehan in the first place.

of course Linehan had to make some adjustments for Dak and did more than an adequate job, but there are limitations with the QB you are working with.

Moore was basically a filler for the scapegoat that was Linehan last year.

Scandrick was one of the worst 'guests' I've ever seen on a sports talk show, he's absolutely horrible.

On "Undisputed" …

We have NO creativity on offense. Running the same thing over and over again (and expecting different results).

We need a new coaching staff, somebody who can bring some creativity and modernity to our offense AND defense.

No surprise; it's Garrett's basic 101 philosophy about winning: Beat the man in front of you on every play.

Many of you have advocated creativity and scheming on offense, but it will never happen with Garrett as the HC.

Yup that is the problem it as been the problem since 07, TO said it. Dez said it, Crayton said most laughed.

That's because these fans are brainwashed. They think TO, Dez and Crayton didn't know what was going on. Many fans hated them 3 for various reasons so they crapped on whatever they said. Don't forget Martellus Bennett. He spoke on it and how this team is ran. But he was another hated player. Dwayne Harris spoke on it when he left to the Giants and how different it is.

So many coaches and players speak on it, too. Just how they know we never adjust or scheme on either side of the ball. We do what we do and that is it. They know exactly what we will do. It's just a matter of their players executing to stop it. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. We are nothing but a man beat man offense. We tell every player to go beat their man. We never scheme to get guys in place to make plays like every other team.

Go look at the Saints and Pats offenses. Do the Saints have stand out talent on offense year in and year out? Not really. They just have a great scheme by Payton and its ran like a machine. Same as the Pats. They don't rely solely on talent to win. Bill just knows how to adjust and scheme to get wins.

If our offense is 2001, I’d love to know what our dense is. 1916? How many points should it take to win a game? 82 points a game and the offense would look so 2020?

The offense is disgustingly predictable and given their success, I'd say they get by on talent alone.

2nd & 5 or greater: 75% pass, 25% run
3rd & 5 or greater: 88% pass, 12% run

The team runs on 53% of 1st downs.

If Dallas loses on 1st down, they're gonna pass. Combined, if Dallas has 5 yards or more to go after a play on first down, they're passing 78% of the time.

Just play the odds. Defend run on 1st down, and if the distance to gain is 5 yards or greater after 1st down then just defend the pass.

I'm a fan of Moore, but this is just ridiculous. You can't be so predictable where teams can correctly guess run vs. pass almost 80% of the time every time you don't pick up 6 yards on 1st down.

I'm willing to give Moore another chance, but it has to be without Garrett. Get the micromanager out of the picture and then let's really assess who's showing up and who isn't.

That's not the issue.
I could run a 1965 offense and win.
It's not about playcalling.
It's about how you run the play thats called.
The Cowboys are anemic because they lack direction.

No, its about looking at the defense your playing against and calling the proper play to exploit tendancies. You sound like Garret. Its all about execution. You can execute the perfect run play but if its 5 guys blocking 8, its not going to work.
