Ok.

So we have been duped and suckered by Jerrah and Stephen for years now.

We have gone along with the dog and pony show while Jerrah has built real estate kingdoms and collected stadiums, training facilities and still the real reason we all pay attention is we love the team.

We do not love the Jones' and their greedy ways.

We like TDs, cheerleaders and good football on the Holidays.

There is not alot of that anymore folks.

Our team is about to go thru another crash and burn.

We are about to have to go thru another scene of Jerrah falling on his sword as he sails off in his new yatch to party.

We will be left to sifting thru the crash debris like a downed airliner.

But not this time..not me.

Jerrah..pour me a shot and let's talk Turkey.

Wild Turkey for me, thanx.

Now..

Jerrah here is the deal..

Until you start making football decisions that show you know what you are doing with this team..

allow me to stop lie-ing when people ask what's my favorite team becuz I will pause and.choke on Cowboys..

and say Texans instead..

you have made me into a tired fan of this show called the Dallas Cowboys.

You have forced me to stop worrying about your team nor CARE about how much Dak and Amari are going to get or who the next HC will be.

You have just killed it in me.

And fans like me who have watched this team for 50+ years probably agree..

If they do not agree, after 50+ years they are already dead from the waiting Dude.

Beginning to feel like your chances to take your team to another SB Jerrah is growing short?

Its shorter for all of us than you think.

Time to move on.

And after the ticket prices go up 20% in 2020 to cover all these new contracts the new Millennials will start to drop out.

Becuz soon they are going to have to decide whether they are going to be buying electric cars or buying tickets in ATT or not.

So I suggest we all consider making our changes as I am and get a backup team so you can afford to watch them on TV and not die 16 times a season with this group of rich losers.

Guess you can tell I am ticked of..huh?

:omg:

Some of us grew up spoiled by all the success this franchise has had over the years. We ignore the reality of professional sports and think we are entitled to success.

before you give me the stats on the last 25 years I’ll ask you to look around pro sports and the NFL and realize how many teams have been worse than us for so much longer. Teams like the Cardinals, Commanders, Chargers, Bucs, Dolphins.

The reality of sports is almost every teams fan base will have a bad taste in their mouths at the end of the season. The odds are stacked against ultimate success.

It’s ok to be a fan and hope. Just don’t let things you can’t control be allowed to control you.

I love the cowboys. But win or lose it doesn’t change my life. I enjoy watching even when we suck. I don’t get mad over this. How is that going to help me. If I got angry over a football game I would stop watching because statistically you will be mad more than you will be happy.

You had me until the backup team part. I understand your feelings and as a fan in my 50's I totally understand them and relate. Jones may not realize the damage he is doing but he is definitely doing damage to life long fans.

Jerry has never fallen on his sword. He just fires the coach and hires another one, only he's taken longer this time because he bet his "football guy" ego on JG.

Thanks in large part to Jerry I care a lot more about Saturday football than Sunday football these days. Being emotionally invested in the Dallas Cowboys has become a fool's errand - the same guy doing things the same way while expecting different results.

You suggest getting a backup team to root for?
Yes.

Becuz this one has just consistently failed for 25 years.

That's alot of bad play for whatever reason its happening.

And it falls to Jerrah.

Heck, back in the 90s he fired Jimster after being served 2 SBs and dry up the third one, too.

Clear to me who had caused what.

And don't forget Jerry's "buck stops with me" crap, while doing nothing about it. Admitting mistakes means nothing when you change nothing about the way you operate. Correcting mistakes involves two steps, not one. Simply admitting you made the mistake does nothing to fix it or preventing it from happening again and again. And that's what we get from Jerry. "My fault, but I'm not doing anything about it because I'm the owner."

We are likely 5 years away from starting over towards building a playoff team.

I don't think so.

If they get a good coach and some instant contributors in the draft we'll win the division and compete for homefield almost instantly.

Quick turn arounds happen all of the time in this league and this would be one of the easier teams to turn around with a real coach.
