There is no 1800 Dial a starting QB and Dak leads the league in passing yards and no player is immune from a bad day and missing targets etc.

Dak is fine the coaching is the problem and we have bigger needs to attend to than trying to replace the league leading QB in yards because of knee jerk reactions by fans who have been anti Dak from day 1 just because of his draft position.

Thread is rubbish.

Our QB is Rubbish!!!!! Merry Xmas either way...

The same Troy who sucked his first 2 seasons and his last 4 seasons after free agency kicked in and made him lose the best team money could buy. Yeah, I remember that Troy. The same one who couldn't hang at Oklahoma with the big boys, so he fled to UCLA. lol. Too funny.

I agree with all that, but you have to believe he knows a thing or two about playing the QB position.

And he is spot on on his assessment of Dak.

There's a difference between throwing for 300 yards in a game that is a back and forth shootout and getting 300 yards in the second half of a blowout game (down 3 plus scores) after putting up 75 yards in the first half while the game was still close..

If you can't understand this there's no helping you and it would be easier to teach a dog how to do algebra.

When has Dak ever had a shoot-out game?
NEVER!

Playoff game vs GB doesn't count as it was garbage time almost win.....

Hilarious. Even this one video shows the receivers dropping passes left and right. Passes that other teams' receivers catch.

You are NOT a Cowboys fan you are a Dak-Fan.....move on and find the DAKZONE forum chat rooms!
No Cowboy fan would want or accept this mediocre QB under center for us!

It's difficult to say for sure exactly what Dak's ceiling is at this point of his career. The team as a whole was merely a shell of what they should be with more capable coaching. Dak didn't practice all week according to reports. That, most likely, had something to do with his poor performance.

I'm guessing we may have seen him at a fraction of what he's capable of being. Otherwise, perhaps he just doesn't have the capacity to be good on a consistent basis? He'll be back next year, in any event. At that time he should give us a more informed idea of what he's capable of in different circumstances. Whatever the case, he's not done just yet. We're all aware that the Dallas FO will see to his return.

Yeah, Troy knew how to play the QB position when he had the best team that money could buy. What happened once free agency kicked in? What happened to his knowledge of playing the QB position then? He said recently that you either enter the league having a passer accuracy or you don't, so what happened to his accuracy after '96 or before '91? If you can't see the hypocrisy in what Troy is saying compared to Dak, there is no helping you.

Go away, Troll. Dak is going to be here for a very long time. Your daily complaints about him are worse than a spoiled and sore little teenager who doesn't get exactly what he wants.

Former Dak fan here - not just this game, but the past 6 have opened my eyes. He’s not our long term quarterback.

The good news is that he held out for a ridiculous amount of money, despite the endorsement deals he gets for being a Cowboy.

We see it. Do Jerry and Stephen see it? Stephen reiterated again on 105.3 that he’s more convinced than ever that Dak is the long term quarterback.

We are about to enter a draft with the best quarterback draft class in NFL history, and the Cowboys will be drafting 10-15.

My biggest fear is that Jerry feels he’s too old to start over, but that’s exactly what this franchise needs to do.

I agree with Baldy. Even though I’m way past firing the entire coaching staff, he’s right about how pathetic the players were in this game. If this is the Dak we are going to get, we are screwed for a long time. He’s just not that good. Could be a Complete fraud. Wow, there were several touchdowns in these few clips. I’m speechless!!!

So QB's can never have bad games? It's obvious Dak's shoulder is not right. You guys are fickle. Everyone has to play at their peak elite level for their entire career. If they don't, cut him because he sucks.

the story of the game is simple - a QB with an arm full of dope.

It is not by chance Dak's worst game of his career came in the first game he played injured.

pass-chart_PRE285723_2019-reg-16_1577154878184.jpeg

1 of 6 of throws over 20 yards - even the one completed to Gallup was off. For his career he's over 50%.

Missed deep 2 TDs, and didn't even try to go deep to Witten on the play BB mentions with the high throw to Cobb, watch the tape again. He flat out didn't take the shot with an easy read and checked done to Cobb.

Note, BB didn't even mention it, or the injury. And haters gobble it up.

Dak missed 10/+ easy throws, usually it's 2 or 3. If healthy this would have been a blow out.

I have a question... If they knew that Dak had a bad throwing arm, why not make the game simple? Why not just start throwing a bunch of Aaron Rogers type throws, swing passes, quick WR screens, etc??? This coaching staff refuses to help their players. I remember Romo going through this exact thing after teams finally caught up during the ladder part of the season. This is an 8-8 Coach when it's all said and done.

He said his arm wasn’t a problem and I believe him. He got a pain shot before the game, he wouldn’t have felt a thing. And his zip on the ball was fine, it was his accuracy that suffered - just as it has the past 3 or 4 games.

Think about it - the throws he missed were mostly overthrows.

He's terrible. I've opened my eyes. Too bad many others won't. If the thought of letting Dak go sickens you, you need to re evaluate the NFL QB's and the draft. We need to take a chance in the draft. Being stuck with a QB like this will anchor us much like Jason Garrett has these past few years. They both have severe limitations.
Giants will put up 30 on the Eagles D. DJones will have a feast vs that secondary. It's stunning to see Dak throw into double coverage with a wide open guy in the middle of the field. That has nothing to do with the shoulder, it's between the ears.
