If we get Riley I'm done as a fan. Riley wouldn't fix the accountability issues with this team. It would just be another stunt by Jerry to keep control. Jerry cant sell that crap to me anymore. Fix the team or lose fans.

Feeling the constant need to control everything is a mental issue.

Jerry better get this one right.......considering his age this will most likely be his final head coaching hire.

You are more optimistic than I am as I think Jerry will be at the Cowboys helm for another 20 years. Will the NFL be around in 20 years is an interesting question.

Nope.

Why should he settle for the one HC job in that gives him the least authority, decision making, and autonomy in the entire NFL.

Who will Jerry hire in advance of Riley for a coordinator job?

Which college players with the most contradictory traits needed for his offense will Jerry draft?

When Riley comes in he's going to want the Jimmy Johnson level authority that Jerry swore he would never give again.

This job with the current management structure is a dumpster fire. JJ cares more about getting credit than he does about winning. If I were a top coach, I wouldn't trust this organization and their talent evaluation and since JJ will always have final say on everything, I'd pass until JJ passes...

Jerry continues to live in the past and to try to replicate "his" success in the 90s. Triplets! Successful college coach! The world and (especially) the NFL have moved on.

What goes around comes around, maybe Jerry is ahead of the curve, and a strong running game and a bus driver quarterback will be the way to win once again!

Gee, I can hope, can't I???

Jerry will bully that guy like no other. 36 year old college coach with 3 years experience. Classic Jerry move. Rumors are that Meyer wants too much control. I mean why do that with one of the best college coaches ever and a guy that wins big every stop? Better to hire another yes man that has little experience and no desire to help on the defensive side of the ball.

Nothing will change.
Dont think age has anything to do with bullying trust me. Its the young guys that will be fiery and not take what some of these older coaches will

Riley is not fiery. At all. 3 years experience not nearly enough. His defenses stink. Guy will be overmatched. But the Riley fan boys won’t see it until it is too late.

I want a coach who is going to toughen this team and play a tough brand of football.
I agree. THAT then may eliminate Lincoln Riley and a few others. As far as I'm concerned, Mike McCarthy, Urban Meyer or Dan Campbell fit the bill. All 3 have winning pedigrees as well. Lincoln Riley simply doesn't have a large enough body of work just yet. I doubt he would leave OU anyway. Pete Carmichael is another candidate to watch.

That's exactly what I mean. We will know whats going to be what with this hire, possibly even beforehand if a coordinator is hired first.

I'm done if he pulls this, and I don't want to be, but I cant keep this up. It's not healthy, and I'm not trying to be funny.

I might be too. I can’t stand the broader league. Goodell has destroyed it.

Wow... so much hate for a phenomenal young coach that crafted 2 of the last 3 Heisman winners and holds a 36-5 record. Makes perfect sense.

How do we know he is a "yes man"? Just because he's 36 and not an *******? What sound logic!

Urban as HC. Riley as OC. Rivera as DC. A dream team that has a low chance of happening, but still possible.
