I'm not bashing Jimmy here. And by no means am I supporting Jerry but Lincoln riley is a hot candidate for a reason....
I understand what you're saying but I just can't see handing the keys to the team to a guy who's never won anything. I'm not even sure about Meyer but the guy has won three national championships. At least one can argue the guy knows what it takes to be a champion.

That's a legit concern.
Nick saban won't come to the NFL though...

Lincoln's offense is finally playing a defense loaded with NFL caliber talent. Welcome to life in the SEC..........and its not going to get easier in the NFL. Jerry should really be taking notice of how easilly Lincoln's offense is taken apart when matched against a quality defense. OSU and Clemson would be doing the same thing to OU.

Sorry Big 12 fans, but this is why your conference hasn't played in a title game in the college playoff era. No defense.
I'll take my chances with Riley's offense with our OL, RB and QB against "NFL caliber talent"

All Jerry really wants to do is sell hope.

He is gonna have a tough time off this one.

I'm rooting for 80-14 because I just hate Jerry that much

You have to go all the way back to Bill Walsh to find an offensive college coach who succeeded in the NFL. Jimmy Johnson was a defensive coach. Pete Carrol is a defensive coach. The odds of lincoln making an impact in the NFL are slim.

Jerry will bully that guy like no other. 36 year old college coach with 3 years experience. Classic Jerry move. Rumors are that Meyer wants too much control. I mean why do that with one of the best college coaches ever and a guy that wins big every stop? Better to hire another yes man that has little experience and no desire to help on the defensive side of the ball.

Nothing will change.
That will tell the story about Jerry Jones. He is in the same place as 1989 and 2002. He has to give control to someone that knows football, football players, and can win football games getting all the credit.

He had to hire Jimmy Johnson who was set to replace Landry by Tex and Gil to win a Super Bowl, and he had to hire Bill Parcells to get his stadium. Well now he is back to 1989 and has to win a Super Bowl.

Plus LSU is destroying OU...Orgeron was Jimmy Johnson's DL coach at Miami in 1988.

Jones should hire Meyer, get his Super Bowl and then he will either fire him like he did Jimmy or run him off like he did Parcells. But you will get a Super Bowl something Jerry Jonesboys has not even sniffed since 1995.
