some quotes:
The 31-year-old whiz is regarded nationally as one of football’s top young offensive minds, and his rapid rise in the college football coaching world affirms that label.
“He had shortcuts that I didn’t even know about,” Conner said. “He’s one of the smartest kids I’ve ever taught. He’s brilliant.”

And the NFL has already taken notice. Coaches are flocking to Norman to pick his brain and see if they can steal anything and add it to their playbook.
“What makes Lincoln so unique is you’re talking about a guy who has figured out the college game and NFL coaches are coming to visit him,”
Kirk Herbstreit tells me. “I talked to him a few months ago and he said he used to have four or five NFL guys coming in, now he’s got over 30 guys coming in to figure out what they’re doing. So you have not only one of the best offensive coaches in college, but in football, period.”

from a personal standpoint, he's the brightest coach I've ever got to talk to or listen to. I attended Sean McVay's seminar last spring and I still think Lincoln is more creative. When Lincoln was the OC at East Carolina, he recruited and signed our quarterback from Mesa CC in 2013. He just sees things so easily and can make subtle but effective changes. He gave us some feedback on our offense and they were all game-changers.
