By not letting JG go quickly is actually as crazy as it sounds hurting his chances to get another coaching job..JG is going to need an answer soon one way or another

I really feel like if there isn't some wholesale changes made here in the offseason that the waning of my "fanhood" for this team will be complete. Expanding family, fantasy football, a product that seems to become more watered down every year, and just life being too busy in general have left me with my foot barely in the door the past couple years. Feel like I cheer for them more out of habit than anything else at this point.

I'm sure this will get flamed with snark from the "hardcore" fans. I get it, I was you guys once.

Anyways, here's hoping Jerry does something interesting enough to keep me entertained and hopeful.

No, he's being delusional. He is still looking for any rationale possible to keep his favorite adopted son. He may end up figuring he has no choice but to ditch him in the end to avoid a complete fan revolt, but he won't do it without granting Garrett every conceivable excuse first.

Yep, which is why I have been saying, I won’t believe it until it actually happens. People don’t understand how connected the Garrett clan is to Jerry. Look at how Jerry dealt with John Garrett, as opposed to the other position coaches he fired in 2012.

thr only difference back then is Romo had a contract negotiation in the off-season where pressure could be exerted in Jerry in any meaningful way.

I don't believe Jerry is going to keep Garrett. The season just ended. I don't expect Jerry to tell a reporter that "Yes! Garrett is fired immediately". As much as I might like it, he's not going to say it. Technically, Garrett is a coach without a contract so Jerry doesn't have to fire him. If Jerry does give him another year, I won't be watching (unless they make it to the playoffs)

Look you see this all the time in education... you dumb your way up. Can’t cut it in the classroom? Make them an Assistant Principal!!

Questionable decisions as an AP, make the a Principal at a different, smaller school, nobody will know!!!

Oh, still a bad egg...huh... make them VP of Basketweaving at Administration because we just love them so much.

Jerry loves Garrett. Period. It would not surprise me in the slightest to have him be invited on as a consultant/specialist regarding time management and clapping.

Jason might become the assistant to the assistant of Rich Dalrymple! :lmao:
