These ARE the droids we are looking for...
Appreciate the Star Wars reference. I have been a faithful fan for 44 years. I can honestly say if Garrett is retained then I'm not watching them next year or until Garrett is gone. I'll always be a Cowboys fan but I can't take Garrett anymore. The "aw shucks, we tried but didn't get it done attitude" is painful to watch. Watching Garrett coached Cowboys is emotional self mutilation at this point.

Anybody who wants to keep Garrett is like a dog going back and re eating his throw up. The thing that made the dog sick -it get's out. Only to go eat it again to get sick once again. It's sick!!!

I'm in the keep Garrett camp. He really is a great coach. We just haven't given him enough time. If he leaves now, it'll be most premature.

It would be very easy to do worse than Jason Garrett. And would a youngster like Lincoln Riley really a better choice?

I'm fine with parting ways. But it's a risk.

Dont worry buddy. There no way we keep Garrett. I cant fathom the twisted rationalization that leads JJ to keeping him.

I wouldn’t mind keeping him for 1 more year if he was able to have his own staff. That means a new DC, and new OC. I don’t want a college guy. So it’s either McCarthy, or Garrett to me.

There are so many things he does poorly. The good doesn't come close to out weighing the bad.
I put a Ton of this on Rod Marenneelli and K Richard. Their defense was poor and unsound. They never made adjustments in game. I think Garrett could be a good HC with a good surrounding staff. Hiring a rookie OC in Moore was a huge mistake.for Rod M the game has passed him by. Look at all the teams running that def. Atlanta , dal, TB, sea all have pretty bad defenses. It’s outdated.

If Garrett knew what he was doing he could have changed things, but he doesn't know Xs and Os well enough to do so. If he did he would have, unless he has no gumption whatsoever. Case and point having both Coop and Cobb on the bench 4th and 8 with the season on the line. Call a damn time out and get your players in. Dude had a practice squad receiver out there. If you cant get your coordinators in line and you cant coordinate what the hell can you do??

EDIT: I agree our coordinators suck and need to be gone as well.

I think you're right. I'm just feeling hopeless about Cowboys tonight. I wish he was fired already.
