So slater is reporting that there was coaches fighting amongst eachother on the staff? Maybe just maybe this is evident in the head scratchers these clowns put out the 2nd half of the yr? These guys play calling literally had announcers, fans, media, and exec's scratching their heads on what they were trying to do during games. Makes alot of sense if you look at their situational football.

DL playing over aggressive, but the secondary playing soft.
DL playing wide leaving LBers exposed

Abandoning the run after first drives
Head scratching calls on 3rd and short
Zone blocking schemes that made no sense when ur trying to pound inside
Having ur best players on the sidelines in critical moments

DL substitions on first drives of games

ST blunders all season

All this coming out, while looking back at what went down this season, now it makes sense why so many players had down yrs.

How do you win games if your coaching staff has their own agendas?

Which is why I can't put it on talent. I still think we have good players. Good, underperforming players on a bad team. Talent is a percentage of the problem but the lions share I put on coaching.

Coaching was 70% of the problem. 15% was a talent problem (Let's admit. Our DT's aren't that great. DE's are overrated. Dak is average at best. Our secondary has severe holes at the safety position and our corners are average at best.). 15% is an ego/arrogance/lack of focus problem.

Yes... we had poor scheming and play calling...

Run when you should pass... pass when you should run...

Tampa 2 with three to four wideouts...

Worst Special Teams in History of the NFL...

FG vs going for it...

I could go on and on...

Its not on talent. You always hear ex players on shows saying they have no idea how theyre not winning with the players they got.

This is why i say people in this forum have no clue or are just lying in their criticism.

They say Elliot is washed up being hes not producing.

First off he finished with 1230 yrds rushing 12tds and 415 yrds rec 2tds but thats besides the point

He did this with a poor blocking scheme to start with. Schlereth even said how is he supposed to take off if hes fighting off 2 and 3 guys as he gets the ball.

He had this production with his coaching not running the ball. He had 12 rushing tds with his coaches not calling run plays in the redzone.

How do you have the RB with the most touches the most yrds and most TDs in the NFL since 2016 and take him out of your offense regularly.

Sometimes i wonder if people even watch the game or are too wrapped up crying in the game thread trying to be clever.

DTs are inconsistent, but some of that is scheme flaw. They literally had the DTs rushing over aggressive wide and teams would simply run behind them as they went up field. Not all teams have pateint RBs but the ones that do ate this team up. Just watch the vikings game. Cook wasnt carving up this defense. He was just waiting until the lane opened up. Something so simple to see is what makes Richard a very bad coach. Because he never adjusted it, he simply ran what he wanted and said stop it.

Its easy to diminish talent when the team is struggling. Im not letting them off the hook entirely but I agree our coaches killed us this season.

Richards scheme was cover the sideline and force everything inside. The flaw was he was playing cover 3 so the middle was a big fat hole of open where every team picked up 3rd and forevers regularly. Im a fan and even i understood that you cant stop a TE up the seam or a wr running a slant in this defense setup. A WR running a cross on 3rd and medium was literally a first down 100% of the time.

I could stomach JG if they gave him another yr. I wouldnt be able to stomach Richard. Carrol ran him out of SEA for destroying their defense.

Quinn and special teams, lol i cant even get mad at how bad he was. So bad it just makes you laugh. I seriously get a smile everytime i think about special teams.

Say it’s equal shares myself ..all 3 parties, FO,staff, team.
You cant blame Jerry for this. He put together a very good team. I guess you can say yeah you can because he makes all the calls. Everything stops with him

But you cant tell me theres a coach that wouldnt salivate to have this type of roster on their team.

I literally feel sick for Jerry.

You stop that seam with speedy LBs... but we were dropping back...

The whole scheme was a disaster...

I can't stomach another year of JG... if he's back... I will be scarce around here... maybe game days at times just to chuckle at clock management...

Hope you're right... my heart may give out if I have another season of JG... or my liver...

Just think when they interview coaches do they even have to sell it?

QB, RB, WRs, OL, DE, LBers, CBs already there paid for, or about to be paid for

And hes gonna have ton a cap to get whatever else he needs, and a deep draft in spots like WR, CB, S

Players are always in place... it's Jones deciding who are the coaches that pisses me off...

Conspiracy theories really ? Who was conspiring against whom ? Whats the point ? What, you think the coaching staff was conspiring against Garrett ? Isn't it more likely that we were just over rated ?

You gotta wonder, would perception of Garrett and Cowboys history be different if refs dont blow the Dez catch, and call the obvious hold on David Irving.
