I cant tell you how infuriating it is watching Jason Garrett's press conference

He is smiling, giddy and sooooo happy about the teams performamce...

When asked about how he felt about missing the playoffs again he said it was out of our control...say what

I wonder if Billichek gets giddy if his team misses the playoffs....

Biggest piece of trash HC

The bitter fans are so bad now that they make up fake news discolored by their own bitterness. We won the game, probably Garrett’s last. Why should he moan and groan and be bitterly defeated like the fans. I’m sure he wanted a better season, but today was only about today, so ourselves he’s happy about the win, going out this week the best he could this week. He loves the players and his fellow coaches. He’s proud they gave it their all this week when that’s all they had left to control.

He shared a happy story about the Christmas Eve practice being one of the best ever, but bitter fans who hate him want him to crawl into a hole and cry because the world is ending.

It’s time for him to go, but the bitterness expressed in every thread today is just immature and emotional. I was happy when Switzer, Campo, and Parcells left, but the mean bitterness, as if Garrett stole their children, is just irrational for adults.

I think that what you’re suggesting is much more likely to be right.

He came up short in a prove-it year. We’ll move on and start/keep blaming Dak for a season until the new guy loses enough games to make himself a legitimate target.

I bet I’m gonna watch it, and he’s neither “giggly” or “giddy.”

He did seem quite happy.

In a way, I think he may be relived that this is over and he can go somewhere else. If you watched him on the sidelines the last month of the season, he looked miserable. Just starred into space most of the time, didnt hardly talk to anybody, never smiled or laughed, just looked like he didnt want to be there.

He might be relived to be away from the pressure and spotlight of Dallas. If he goes somewhere else, like Cleveland for instance, nobody is going to care how much he claps or how many games he loses.

He’s a good coach. It doesn’t matter to me that other people think he’s not and that he’s been the problem in Dallas. I think the actual issues have mostly been elsewhere.

He really wasnt a good coach for us. His constant blunders killed us. If he truly was handcuffed he has no intestinal fortitude whatsoever. He was a lame duck coach with nothing to lose this year. Its his own damn fault if he didn't leave it all on the field.

With the great final game performance, his job is safe.
Playing rival in a game to clinch the division...………….9 points.
Playing rival in a glorified exhibition game...…………...47 points.

Yeah, lets keep Clappy...…….he is clutch, understands the importance of the moment and rises to the occasion:thumbup:

You try, but you can't discount it. Garrett's team destroyed in the final game of the season. He deserves the opportunity to carry that forward into 2020. He won his job back imo.

"Out of our control"? Um who was playing for 16 games to decide if you go to the playoffs. It's all in your control you moron. It's out of the fans' control if you make the playoffs.

I know that’s what people want to believe. And it’s very likely moot now, so I won’t bother to argue about it. But it’s really not at all what happened.

He beat a team picking 2nd overall in the draft...………that is the only thing he is good at, beating scrubs.

6 of our 8 wins, including today's win, are all against teams picking in the top 5...……...big whoop!!!

Maybe that gives you a chubby, but not 99% of the fan base.

It makes Jerry happy, and that's what matters.

Then what really happened?

Honest question.

I’ve posted it dozens and dozens of times at this point already. Not really interested in rehashing old territory, but my biggest gripe with @CowboysWillRise’s post is the “constant blunders” that are really nothing but countless plays over the years where posters second guess what they think the play call was for no reason other than they didn’t like the result. Most of the time, they don’t know the play call, have no actual idea whether it was a blunder or not, and don’t bother to sort out the difference between execution errors and coaching errors.
