I don't think anyone wants to retain him. I think with Jerry's soft *** response to the end of the year we are all bracing oursevles for the news that they are working on a new contract extension that will pay him 8 million dollars for the next three years....

It is NO RISK at all. If the next coach fails, then Jerry moves on quickly. Jerry treated Garrett like a son and gave him 10 years of training on the job. Anyone Jerry hires next will be on a shorter leash. Garrett was never going to win a Super Bowl even if you gave him 30 years to do it.

That's very true.

Jerry Jones management has been a huge detriment to this organization for those 25 years. But some people (not you) mistakenly categorize things as an either-or proposition when it comes to Garrett and Jones, that it's either Jones' fault or Garrett's. And the fact is that it's both. Both have contributed to this thing being a disappointment for the last decade. Jones hiring Garrett in the first place, and Garrett showing that he's not up for the position over 10 years.

Unless things drastically change, the only hope we have is that the next head coach is actually good enough to overcome the obstacles Jones has in place.
