Amari Cooper shouldn’t be resigned

Amari got almost 1200 yards, while playing half the season injured on a team that ran for 2100 yards. And you guys think he's a bum. LMAO.

I can't wait to hear the kicking and screaming after he gets his new contract.

Right? How soon people forget life before Cooper. Once he gets paid he'll be the target of the "I hate to see players getting paid" brigade. At least they'll spread the love around between he, Zeke, and Jaylon. Lol.

Where are you getting that he's so unhealthy that is causing him to only suck on the road?

He did this healthy....in Oakland as well. Why do you keep ignoring this? Dude is overrated.

I mean.. It's been reported all year that he has several lower body injuries and he was playing through them.

You can take 1 look at him and see a difference in his ability to change direction and his lack of explosion.

I argued we had to bring him back.

But now, I am wondering if it makes more sense to just let him walk. Gallup has shown really nice improvement. Bring back Cobb for cheap. Bring in another veteran #2 type and then maybe use a mid round pick on a WR like a Claypool from ND or someone like that.

Throw in the hope that we hire a legitimate head coach who brings in a legitimate OC and maybe we don't need Cooper or the $20MM price tag he will carry.

Keep Cobb let Gallup continue to grow. Sign a veteran to fill out the starters and I’d be content.

Amari is terribly inconsistent and seems to lack a passion for the game. Yes, we spent a first rounder on him, but oh well.

If we have decisions on who to pay, it’d make the numbers easier to swallow by letting Cooper walk. To me, he just isn’t worth the $18-20 million he’s gonna want.
If cheap yes he should.

Plus the OL is aging and getting injuries so it will need to be rebuilt soon. Use the money there.

He played with an injured ankle, thigh and both knees throughout the season. I think if he's healthy it makes sense to keep him. Pretty sure they will.

Feel free to prove anything I said wrong. I completely carved your weak arse points up like a thanksgiving turkey.
Don't be vague. Disprove what I said.

Stop coming here trying to spread you emotional man baby over reactionary BS with zero facts to support and I'll stop making you look like the fool.

Good luck.

Emotional man baby, lol. Nice touch.

I have been back and forth on him too. I am not sure you compound the mistake of giving up a 1st for him by paying him 20 mill per year.

Not sure it was a mistake. His demeanor bothers me - just seems like he does not care. I don't care for showboats but would love to see some fire!

Nope. Let him walk. That pick we gave the Raiders is a sunk cost at this point. You don't try to justify it by giving Amari more than he's worth.

Again, was he just injured his entire time in Oakland? This isn't new and didn't start with his injuries...

He's always had bad hands, always been bad on the road, always had questionable motivation.

Coop wasn't healthy yet he soldiered on for the team. We've seen the damage he can do when healthy.

Gallup has made a leap, partially due to all the coverage that rolls Coop's way. Kind of reminds me of how dominant Alvin Harper was playing opposite Michael Irvin. When he got his big contract from another team as "the man" he wasn't up to the task.

Is Gallup ready for WR1? If the answer is no, we absolutely need to re-sign Coop. I think Coop stays regardless.

Well, it depends on the price unless you’re trying to purge the roster and rebuild, which would be infinitely dumb.
That's what we do,,, let good talent walk, because we are trying to back track on over paying for sub par talent like tank.

I think the guy was hurt most of the second half of the season. What would you think if they did not waste the money on Zeke and Smith?

Personally I would choose Cooper over those 2.
Dumb. We win when we play smash mouth football. Thank god fans don’t have a say lol

Play inconsistently and ghost on the road?

Bum? no, worth 20 mill Oh hell no!! I really question his heart and im seeing why Raiders traded him
give it a rest,, every above average player in this league gets payed these days if you want them, if you want to pay them.
Take a close look at the 49ers roster,,, a close look, and count how many significant contributors that were UDFAs,, that's the new buy in program,,, and old school relevant.
Its called "talent evaluation".
If you want to win anything going forward in this league with every player in the entire league shooting for the moon when they hit their 2nd contract regardless of how good they really are...
then the smart money should be invested in your player/talent evaluation, not the player.
