Coop wasn't healthy yet he soldiered on for the team. We've seen the damage he can do when healthy.

Gallup has made a leap, partially due to all the coverage that rolls Coop's way. Kind of reminds me of how dominant Alvin Harper was playing opposite Michael Irvin. When he got his big contract from another team as "the man" he wasn't up to the task.

Is Gallup ready for WR1? If the answer is no, we absolutely need to re-sign Coop. I think Coop stays regardless.
Alvin Harper had 33 receptions the year before TB gave him a huge contract. For the 4 years he was in Dallas, his high was 36 catches, and his high in yardage was 821. Those numbers in no way indicate he was a #1 WR, and his skillset also did not point that way.

Gallup just had 66/1,107 and showed many signs of possibly being a #1 type. Is he ready to be a #1? Hard to say.

Keep Cobb let Gallup continue to grow. Sign a veteran to fill out the starters and I’d be content.

Amari is terribly inconsistent and seems to lack a passion for the game. Yes, we spent a first rounder on him, but oh well.

If we have decisions on who to pay, it’d make the numbers easier to swallow by letting Cooper walk. To me, he just isn’t worth the $18-20 million he’s gonna want.
Given recent events I would have to agree with you Gallup would become number one keep Cobb for the right price we already have a number two on this roster probably with these young receivers have to give them a chance to play we can't be Mortgage in our future Amari Cooper although I do love him as a player I don't see how we can pay Prescott Cooper and possibly Jones although my opinion is let Jones walk

Funny how the Zone changes.

Yall remember pre Amari Dak?

Also people never think about the knock on effects of losing Amari.

A) You have to spend draft capital or the dollars in free agency to replace Amari (you maybe have to do both).

B) Suddenly Gallup gets the number 1 corner and not the number 2. We all sure Gallup is that guy? He disappeared often this year against lesser attention.

C) Amari played injured never complained and had huge games for us despite that. This the guy you want to just let walk?

You fans who accuse Jerry at being bad at his job are more emotional and would be disastrous.

He hasn’t been 100% since week 8. You sign the guy, he’s your legite #1.
He has not been 100% since the beginning of training camp. Early in the year he did not have his break away speed. Either you sign him or Dak. Cant pay both invest the rest in defense.

You dont let players like that walk. We have a transition tag and Franchise tag this year. We dont have to sign him to a long term contract. We can franchise him another year after this one and trade him for a first or second if we have to. Transition tag him this year and franchise him the next year. We dont have to pay him but you sure dont let him walk for nothing.

Willie that would take foresight from the Jones to get this done. I think they're so desperate to be right that they're going to pay out the nose for Cooper. This is what happens when you mess around and don't do your due diligence. I think he's going to get Julio money.

"Due diligence"? In 25 games as a Cowboy Cooper has 132 receptions for 1914 yds and 14 tds. What the devil are you talking about?

Gallup showed in games that Cooper wasn’t out there much that the pressure of being a #1 is too much for him at this time. The drops vs the Jets and Eagles were awful. Just because he cleaned up vs street free agents in week 17 against a 3-13 team does not make him Randy Moss
Amaris drop rate and disappearing act isnt far off , thats the point, if gallup isnt a big drop off and still growing as player why sign Amari for whatever his demands are for? I would offer the guy 17 and thats it.. if not a Vet like Cobb, a draft pick, more Jarwin, and Gallup can handle the load for receptions..

if this teams new OC staff's smart they use Pollard, zeke more in running and pass game next season..this staff left so many opportunity's on the table getting away from using Zeke and pollard more in pass game..

Play inconsistently and ghost on the road?

100% Coop's fault? Dak and Kellen Moore gets some blame too.

And let's not forget he saved our season last year, as a midseason acquisition and no training camp.

Coop was still a big reason why this offense was the 2nd most prolific (by 2 yards) in team history:

This inconsistent team had the best offense and defense in NFC East...yet we are on the outside of the playoffs...but it's Coop's fault? SMH

Parker from the Dolphins was just extended for about $10M per year. To me, he and Cooper are similar players. Give me 2 Parkers over one Amari.
