If he wants him to be front office and waste $35M/year for whatever dumb reason he has in his head, so be it. I don't care. I just don't want his boring hands on the team anymore. He better not have any coaching choices, because so far they've been pretty terrible (letting Eberflus go, bringing in Paul Alexander for Oline coach who had a completely different style, etc), or be part of the day to day coaching

They let him conduct his player exit interviews, this is the meeting to let him know they are not giving him a new contract.

he’s not coming back, not sure why this is getting everyone worried. Around the NE game, the lunatic was done with this HC, the buffalo and chicago games were closing the coffin lid, philly put the nail in it.

Garrett is done here

Jerry loves Garrett. Wouldn't suprise me if he offered him a position in the FO. Hopefully for something like advertising and not anything football related with players
Then he needs to divorce Gene, marry Garrett then yacht off into the sunset together.

Jerry is opening up the HC job but probably wants to still allow Garrett to be a candidate. He will give him a chance to impress in the interview...despite having 10 years of evidence already :muttley:

This is being incredibly mishandled.

IMO, Garrett was offered some type of job with the team and they are giving him the night to think about whether or not he wants to stay with the team in some capacity or go potentially coach somewhere else.

I personally do not think he will be a hot commodity like the Jones’s and Dilfer say he will.

Are fans this blind? If what is being reported is true, the Jerry is the issue, not Garrett. People clamoring for the wrong thing all along.

No. Everyone knows Jerry is the issue. Obviously he’s never going to sell so no use in asking for change there. As Garrett would say, next man up and that’s Garrett.

Remember last year when he kept saying “But who are you going to replace him with?” You know how this doofus thinks. I could easily see him going out and conducting a few interviews before rehiring Garrett and saying it turns out he was the best man for the job all along blah blah blah.

His contract runs through the 14th so he’s giving him the day to clean out I hope.

I wish I had as much faith in Jerry as you do in this situation.

Maybe Garrett will be named GM? Jerry steps aside for the only person he totally trust to be the GM. Jerry has had nuttier ideas!
