Personally I think he is being allowed to say goodbye to every player personally and we will see a press conference tomorrow on a slow news day thanking Garrett for all hes done
He had a noon meeting with the team. Probly normal meeting while players clean out there lockers. Guessing if he said bye to them yesterday then it would have leaked.

I hear that, but there's nothing keeping him from doing that anyhow... whether he's still technically the coach or not. So that explanation isn't satisfying.

It did leak. And he did sound like he was saying goodbye without saying it. I meant individual goodbyes. Garrett is gone. I hope.

Yeah. I don't see Garrett hanging around just to ask Jerry for an extension. That ship sailed weeks ago. If anything Garrett is hanging around to help ease Jerry out of his funk.

Haven’t heard that yet. I just figured it was the end of season see ya at camps type thing. Unless he is having private meetings today or JJ is setting up something. Maybe a cake. I still think JJ gives him a FO job. That way he don’t fire him.

Maybe we are dumb to think Jason is a puppet while Jerruah is? Has this become a symbiote relationship?

He literally told the media yesterday he was going into the meeting to fight for his job. He's been on a PR mission to sway Jerry all week - the photo ops of hugging at midfield well after the game, waxing about practices being like kids playing in the yard, etc
To Garrett this job is about HIM, having his fantasy life. He doesn't consider for a moment how he has failed hence he never learns from his mistakes.
He is selfish and calculating and shallow.

Garrett already said he "absolutely" wants to continue coaching in the NFL.

If Jerry offered him a FO job yesterday. He probably turned it down. And Jerry asked him to sleep on it.

Hopefully we'll know more today.

Yeah I would like to know so we can move on. JJ likely won’t make any real calls to other candidates till this is done.

Coach has already been picked. Jerry isnt making this decision. Just like people yesterday said he was only meeting with Jerry and ended up meeting with both Stephen and Jerry. Stephen wants Garrett out of here. Just like Dez. Just needed time to convince him it was over.

I think you're right.

To Garrett this job is about HIM, having his fantasy life. He doesn't consider for a moment how he has failed hence he never learns from his mistakes.
He is selfish and calculating and shallow.

I'd fight for my job too if I loved it.

So call me selfish and calculating and shallow if you want, but to me, to do less would be to be a quitter and weak and shallow.

I don't begrudge anyone fighting for a job they love. Maybe they win the day, maybe they don't, but there's virtue in the fight regardless from where I sit.

Jerry loves Garrett. Wouldn't suprise me if he offered him a position in the FO. Hopefully for something like advertising and not anything football related with players

Said this to my brother in law last night! I could easily see them making him the official GM or Player Personnel guy.

This is being incredibly mishandled.

IMO, Garrett was offered some type of job with the team and they are giving him the night to think about whether or not he wants to stay with the team in some capacity or go potentially coach somewhere else.

I personally do not think he will be a hot commodity like the Jones’s and Dilfer say he will.
Talk about speculation - - - lol.
