Cowboys Eyeing Greg Roman?

Some Cowboys officials have Ravens offensive coordinator Greg Roman in mind for the head coaching position, if it comes available (Twitter link via Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports). As of this writing, the Cowboys still have Jason Garrett as their head coach, so they have not requested an interview with Roman.

He knows offense.

But my personal take is if the league is becoming a college style offensive league and our players are coming from college then why not get a college smart mind like LR at OU. Let him get a genius Defensive Coordinator in here a legitimate special teams coach and let's role

I don't know/ I've got a feeling that Jerry is going to swing for the fences and make the biggest push of his life at Belicheck. Brady's contract is expiring and who knows what he's going to do. I think Jerry is waiting for the Patriots to finish their post season and he's going all in on Bill.

I have no empirical proof, of course, but the fact that Jerry said he's not worried about who else anyone hires and that they can hire all the big names out there and it doesn't matter, tells me that he's willing to put every bit of capital it takes (including draft capital) to get Belicheck in Dallas and, for the second time ever (the first being Parcells), take a step back and let a coach do his job.

I could be way, way off here but it's a feeling I can't shake, right now.

The last decade had been wasted in part because the defense has been middle of the pack to awful, and even in decent years, they did not get turnovers.
