No new coach will come in here with a full staff so you cant blame Jerry for wanting to stand by guys he likes and offers recommendations that's one thing. Demanding they stay on staff is another.

No coach can come in and replace an entire staff.

Let's not be stoopid

Sickening I know. It gives me no joy in saying it.

But based on how everything has been playing out? Unless Urban Meyer swoops in and rights this ship? I think we're in for several years of more of this same disappointment.

We can't even fire people the right way anymore...

I have a bigger issue with morons who think not having access to every assistant you'd want means you must be strong armed into having your staff dictated for you.

But that's just me.

Shhh, you’re interrupting Big Brain Time.

And so would any candidate with any self respect or options. And we just got rid of one who obviously had neither of those, who would want another?

Right. This is why I said unless the new head coach is able to get Jerry to make concessions in order to get him then this whole thing doesn't matter. Jason Garrett wasn't the problem. Jerry Jones is the problem.

Jason Garrett was a little bit of the problem, but Jerry is the main problem. Garrett contributed to the failures. Jerry generates failure like some kind of failure dynamo.

A new HC coming in and retaining some assistants is normal, being told who will be his OC and/or the DC is dysfunctional. Lets see how this plays out......

Yes, Garrett was merely a byproduct of the real problem. Garrett sucked at the job, but it was Jerry who anointed him and then kept him in place.

There are a few names that will say 'actual change' to me, but many more that say 'more of the same'. And most of the 'actual change' names are likely pipe dreams anyway, if not all of them.

The names they've talked to scream 'more of the same'.

hhalf and half, Garrett still didnt learn a lot and he still had the team coming out flat.

yes all of it is JJ and yes, SJ will be no better, but believe me, Garrett was still Garretting out there.
