I definitely thought they would interview about 5 candidates and go from there. Another Jerry surprise. I’m happy with McCarthy. Finally got a real resume and a renewed sense of hope and a change that’s been a long time coming. I can finally watch the Cowboys again and think they actually have a shot at winning games in January!

What happen to Urban Meyer? Jerry found out he needs to control his own staff?

M&M coming...:muttley:
Its not a new voice. Its still Jerry's voice and process. Just a different puppet to take the blame for the failures.

His assistants will be whoever Jerry tells him they are. Kellen Moore is a sure thing.

McCarthy's arrival will bring an entirely new offense to the Cowboys after running mostly a Garrett scheme since 2007 even though the team has had three different playcallers since 2013 in Bill Callahan ('13), Scott Linehan ('14-18) and Kellen Moore ('19).

Moore, offensive line coach Marc Colombo, quarterbacks coach Jon Kitna and receivers coach Sanjay Lal are under contract. Most of the defensive staff, including coordinator Rod Marinelli and passing game coordinator Kris Richard, have expiring contracts.

if this is going to be the hire...please let him hire his own offensive staff...they are all available.

McCarthy called his own plays in GB iirc.

Whether he does here could be a sign of whether.he's going to stand his ground with Jerry and require autonomy.

Moore might be a Pete Carmichael kind of OC.

I’m happy with this!

Look, I wanted Riley or Meyer. But we knew that wasn’t going to happen.

Get a solid OC and DC and let’s go get #6

Your 2nd sentence explains why your 3rd sentence is an impossibility.

Or 12-4, 13-3. McCarthy has won a ring and over 60% career winning %. Did you think Jerry was going to put this team in the hands of a coach that hasn’t coached in the nfl?

To Jerry, we could have two win talent and he thinks we’re super bowl bound

Why not? All 3 super bowls during his tenure came with coaches who hadn't coached in the NFL.
