How so? Since Dak is as good or better than Rodgers, McCarthy will have the same or better success
11-16-1 in his last 2 years with Rodgers. Too stupid to realize he had a STUD in Aaron Jones.

Let’s hope we can match that greatness!!!!!!!

All the people that are saying "meh" and "not my first choice" are the same ones that were saying "anyone but Garrett!"
nailed me there. it is a "meh" but better than garrett. wanting someone other than garrett doesn't mean you don't have preferences just the same.

so "meh" - better than garrett but we'll see if the end result is any different.

I'm well aware and even put it in the previous post you are responding to in aikmans quote.

Players going to jerry and over the head coach has been at the core of the problems here for years. Jerry over ruling scouts on draft day, spending money on players who are not worth it etc....

spare me. I know it all too well.
Then you should realize this hire does nothing to change the problem.

In fact McCarthy won't even understand himself why its not working for at least a few years.
He most likely doesnt understand how crap is really ran in Dallas. He will find out.

This is really going to be weird. Its like as a Fan of Dallas I am going to have to rewire my brain on how I view football.

all of the old stories and reminiscing are going to be about Montana and favre and rodgers. That is going to be really weird and take some time to get used to.

I have a strong feeling that this is what the Cowboys are hoping to put together. A McCarthy-Lewis combination.
Marvin Lewis would be a massive upgrade at D-Coordinator & someone that has a real track record of coaching some insanely good defenses. People knock him for his 0-7 playoff record as as head coach but check out what happened to the Bengals after that guy left

maybe true. If he is allowed to hire his own staff and brings in experienced quality coaches then that is already a step up from garretts hiring of Rob Friggin Ryan and Monte Kiffin/Rod Marinelli.

to me its all about what happens on Defense. I trust mccarthy can run an offense, this team will win or lose on defense so that is what I am most interested in.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Apparently mccarthy during his tenure was never really given a top defense or running game to work with either, and he still led them to playoffs 9 of 13 seasons.

Say what you want but this guy commands respect.
LOL! No run game?

He had Aaron Jones in 2017 and 2018.

Jones averaged 5.5 Yds/carry in BOTH seasons.

Too bad Jones didn’t get to carry the load until 2019. His fat idiot of a head coach “knew better.”
