I think Kellen Moore / McCarthy situation would be similar to Zimmer / Parcells situation when BP was hired. Parcells was asked to interview Zimmer by Jerry but wasn't required to keep him.
I think that's what's going to happen with Moore and the rest of the coaches on offense.

Knew it would be McCarthy as soon as Garrett was let go. He won a SB. In Jerry's mind he thinks he is hiring another Parcells type, an experienced veteran coach except this is all about winning now instead of turning it around.

I think this means Dak stays.

If the Commanders hired Mike McCarthy you would be laughing.
Don’t act different just because we hired him.

And if the Commanders hired him there are a bunch of posters here who would be talking about how Snyder schooled Jerry.

But, since the Boys hired him, he’s terrible.

There are homers and haters.

I try to not be either.

How many Super Bowls. Did he win with the great Aaron Rodgers. Don’t like the choice

It sends a bad message IMO. I would be much more excited if McCarthy would have brought the staff he had wanted all year. Jerry’s insistence on keeping asst coaches maintains too much of a link to the failures of previous teams. It is also unfair to McCarthy to be limited to somebody else’s choice of asst coaches that will directly effect how good of a job he can do.

It's more prevalent than you think... just amplified with Jerruh...

Your interest can continue, but things will not change in Dallas. Another puppet has been installed and Jerry is picking his asst coaches so that everything will remain as it has been.

I have faith McCarthy will make somewhat better decisions and adjustments during games. I don't believe McCarthy is as thick-skulled as Garrett.

this is a good hire. he proved he can win even with lots of injuries to top players. and he always developed wr's. major upgrade to the dearly departed.

From what I've read on Packer forum, their fans seem to be pretty high on McCarthy as a person and think he will improve the Cowboys as a coach. Somebody said we will be more organized and disciplined, but less creative on offense and more predictable. Sounds like running the ball and play action passes are his thing.

Wonder what Randall Cobb has to say about him. Would be interesting.
