Interesting. I like that he has apparently been hard at work since last year. He looks to have a good foundation of a staff put together as well. His interview must have been next level. Hopefully, Jerry lets him do his thing.

It is a PR video by Mike and his buddies including Peter King ...I am not inspired by this hire.Urban would been the best by miles.

What is Urban's track record in the NFL to stress that he would've been better than McCarthy's experience in the NFL? "By miles" come on now, McCarthy has won in this league consistently and you're taking a shot in the dark with the other guy.

Anyone know why McCarthy got so emotional towards the end of that interview?

Did he and his family experience some sort of tragedy in the last year, or were these suppressed emotions related to his firing in GB?

Sounds like his family did not function well with him being at home all the time - why some men don't retire!

Yeah, I can see that. He seemed so awkward standing there with his children.

I have a relative that travels for work 5 days a week and I've always said his marriage is better because of it.

So who was on his crew there other than Haslett?

From behind a paywall -

two former Packers assistants who worked for McCarthy last year (ex- inside linebackers coach Scott McCurley and ex-quarterbacks coach Frank Cignetti, Jr.).
