:laugh:sure he does. I'm sure he's all in on a kid with no experience, no success, who he probably couldn't pick out of a lineup and knew nothing about 2 days ago. McCarthy has a phone book the size of Texas of offensive coaches he knows, yet he's comfortable attaching his entire Cowboys' tenure on a guy he'd probably never even met. Sounds plausible.

Cowboy fans can talk themselves into anything.

yeah he couldn’t pick Kellen Moore out of a lineup when he is on video from MONTHS ago talking about how Kellen Moore is one of his favorite play callers in the nfl this season. Foot meet mouth :laugh:

The Cowboys were never looking for the best coach, nor the smartest (this is not a knock on McCarthy). They were looking for the right fit, the right person who’s compatible with their organization. The Jones family believes wholeheartedly that their system, their method of running the team, their culture with Jerry at the forefront as the spokesman for all things Cowboys, actually works. They don’t want to change, even though the data doesn’t support their claims.

McCarthy fits what the Cowboys want: A good head coach and a good company man, who, even though he’s hoisted the Lombardi trophy, will be low maintenance, allowing Jerry to remain The King. McCarthy won’t steal the show at the press conference; his answers will be straight down the middle. He is never going to “out flash” Jerry.

at least his resume is way better than the clown we did have

it should be, he had 2 HOF qbs...lol
for 12 years 1 Superbowl...but I will support him just like I supported Jason. for all the people who claimed Romo made plays for Jason. then Rodgers made more for McCarthy especially in the playoffs. from all accounts from Green bay he had the same game management issues you'll "claim" Garrett had. I'll see how long it take for you'll to turn on him...lol

Reid's best QB was McNabb, who hardly equated to Rodgers.

And Reid wasn't saddled with Jerry Jones hiring his assistants for him, either.

The POINT is that Reid was thought of as stale, washed up, and overrated at the end of his philly tenure. Sometimes, a change of scenery is a good thing. Other examples of coaches are succeeded with their second NFL team after failing with the first are Pete Carrol and Bill Belechek. ..............not that a 10-8 playoff record and super bowl win could be looked at as failure in the case of McCarthy.

McCarthy is naming his staff. Nolan was a good start.
