Nope, just not buying your silly excuse for why you supported Garrett. You thought Garrett was a good coach...........PERIOD.
Yep. It’s like I thought. Most understood me but obviously you still didn’t.
I thought he was the best Puppet we’ve had not best coach.

It won’t be Super Bowl or bust. As long as we consistently make the playoffs and occasionally get past the second round he’ll remain the coach.

Of course. But what do you think Jerry’s expectations are the first couple years with a roster they’ve touted as best since the 90’s. Enough to contend for the Super Bowl..

This isn’t about what you and I think. Team decisions are made based off of Jerry’s rhetoric and how the media, fans and analysts align as such. That’s how public expectations are set.

What do you think expectations are now with a greater HC based on the rhetoric we had with this roster this season?
I think you taking fan and media hype as official Cowboy comments coming from Jerry or the Cowboys.

You don’t recall Jerry and Stephen saying this was as talented a roster as they’ve had since the 90’s?

And touted this year as needing to take the next step going further or deeper in playoffs.

So now you claim that you didn't like Garrett as our coach, he was a bad coach, but you defended him and supported him because he was the best puppet we ever had? :lmao2::lmao2::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Never heard anyone lie, backtrack, and make up more dumb excuses for liking a coach.

I agree in year one.

But wouldn’t you agree Jerry made this hire of a veteran SB winning HC because he believes this team is talented enough to make a run now. And most critics, media and fans who aligned themselves with Jerry’s touting rhetoric of this roster felt it was coaching that held it back.

Well, that’s the pressure that comes with this hiring. The Bar has been raised. The expectations are higher.

No more excuses with this type of coaching staff. Super Bowl or Bust sooner rather than later.
I believe your assessment is correct, Jerry pretty much stated so himself. If we remember when people began to speculate about who the new coach would be. I’m paraphrasing here, but Jerry said he wanted a experienced coach, that also had NFL experience. To me that indicates Jerry feels this team is ready to win now and that the only thing holding the team back was the coaching.

I don't recall that specifically, but I'll take your word Jerry said it like that. I do know they thought it was a talented roster. Hell, we all did. But Jerry says a lot of things. Part of his job is to market the team. From there it is the media doing the hyping and going on and on and taking the fans on a ride for the purpose of advancing the product they sell.

Mind you, I'm not saying Jerry was lying or that he didn't think the roster was talented, I'm just saying don't get caught up in the ongoing hype the media sells, or read more into what Jerry said than he actually did. He said the team was talented - he did not say the team is so overwhelmingly talented that other teams shouldn't be able to compete with them and that a Super Bowl win should be certain.

I’ve maintained for 10 years I supported him because I felt he was best Puppet we could hope for despite his coaching flaws. For several years he appeared to be influencing our ownerships culture building better teams and sounder personnel decisions.

In the last 25 years only Parcells had influenced Jerry as much off the field IMO. I’ve attempted to explain much of this in recent months to you but it’s difficult to go back and cover how I’ve supported him over this entire tenure if you haven’t followed.

You’ve interpreted that because I have supported and defended him that I thought he was a great HC. I agreed with a Recent publication he’s about the 4th or 5th best Cowboy HC.

And I’ve also maintained I’d fire him in a heartbeat if I had hope Jerry would hire a proven HC and get out of the way. I didn’t have that hope based on the last 25 years. That didn’t mean I thought Jerry would never do it but simply had no faith.

I also liked Jason because of he and his families connection to not only Landry but Jimmy and our glorious history I spent most of life deeply invested. Jason provided me something to root for connected to our history Id lost with my hatred for how Jerry had ran our franchise in the ground.

I was at a crossroads with my fandom in 2008 after giving up my season tickets after 4 decades. I had joined social media to speak out about Jerry new stadium and the damage he’s done to my my favorite past time.

Personally I didnt get caught up in his hype and sales pitch but my point is many do and it often sets the bar for expectations. I argued all year this roster was over hyped. And expectations for the season were too high.

I’m surprised you don’t recall. He spoke about it on several occasions. And almost every media source echoed it of their own choosing in some capacity.

The bulk of fans and media follow his rhetoric which creates this superficial perception. C’ mon Rogers.

You liked Garrett as the coach of the Dallas Cowboys. You defended him, bragged when you thought he was doing well, supported him being the coach and thought he was doing a great job. END OF STORY.

You also claimed that NON puppet (better coaches) didnt want to come here and that puppets would be all that Jerry would want to hire and the next coach would be a puppet as well.

You were dead wrong on all 3 laughable claims and were told how wrong you would be over and over again by yours truly. Which you denied and defended time after time.

I maintained throughout that if I believed Jerry would bring in a proven HC I’d of fired Garrett.

And I maintained that I believed Jerry was determined to retain Garrett barring a collapse . But I also said there would come a point when more success in the playoffs would be needed to sustain.

I did argue I was suspect if Jerry would attract or pursue a proven HC. But I didn’t say never . Fortunately public pressure and opinion finally swayed Jerry.

You are a complete liar. You defended Garrett at every turn. You and IDGIT were his two biggest fans.

And the end of the day both of you were absolutely dead wrong about all of it.

Yes, I did and still do defend Garrett but you have misconstrued that into believing I thought he was a great HC.

I don’t agree I was wrong about anything . I believe I saw it for what it was and waved my white flag accepting the dysfunction Jerry dishes out.

I do agree I was surprised public opinion and pressure finally swayed Jerry.

You don’t recall Jerry and Stephen saying this was as talented a roster as they’ve had since the 90’s?

But there’s also the fact that they believe this is the franchise’s deepest, best roster since 1990s.

“I think it’s there,” says Dallas COO Stephen Jones, from his makeshift office in the Oxnard Residence Inn, which is about the distance of a Prescott-to-Amari Cooper throw to the post from the practice field. “The ’06, ’07, ’08 [teams], that was difficult, because you didn’t have the depth. I would say if you were to put a ding on that group, injuries would hurt you. … We believe this roster, because of the depth, is right there with that ’90s roster.

As I said, you are a liar and no one has been more wrong about Garrett than you have.

And you are already getting things wrong at an alarming rate with McCarthy.
