Beyond Colombos aggression?

He coached up an elite OL.

What's the matter? Ice cream too cold?

#ColomboHate

Btw, he played RT in the NFL. That's one of the reasons he's an excellent OL coach.

It’s well known that Columbo’s forte is simple aggression, which is fine. But the point has been made, and rightfully so, that at this point, our aging veterans MAY benefit from a more cerebral approach.

No longer reliable enough at the price tag he is being paid. Get something for him while you can so that can be their problem

This is false. He’s still CLEARLY a top 3-5 LT option and his salary is according. His biggest problem is the lofty bar he set.

koolaid is good stuff

OK, we suck! We’re doomed and NOTHING can be done! We’re years away, the laughingstock! Feel better?

Let’s enjoy the game of football? Not allowed, Care Bear!

I’m excited about this staff
I’ll get excited about the team when I know who’s on it
So many decisions
If Dak and cooper come back the offense should be very good
If we can build a defense then this team can be very good

There is certainly a lot of potential regarding the staff.

It'll be interesting to see who we end up with as RB, WR, and TE coach and then who's going to be coaching the secondary.

I’m very excited we have a real ST coach
It was embarrassing last year
We need a punt returner somewhere in the draft or FA and I’d like to see pollard in camp to see if he can do it

I wonder what was the issue with Devin Smith. In the 2 games he got any kind of time he went 3 for 74 1td where he embarrassed Norman. And 2 for 39 in the other vs mia. 5 for 8 on them targets is a very good %. You could see the talent and speed he has. One of the many questionable things about this JG coaching staff. Nobody and i mean nobody could convince me he wasnt a better option than Tavon

Didn’t he end up getting hurt?

I'm just going to comment on your excitement for next season.. I agree I'm excited as well to see all the changes, but I'm snakebit and so are you.
There has seemed to be a hex on our squad for a long time, and I don't see any reason to believe that hex or the pins have been taken out of that
Jerry Jones Voodoo Doll that Jimmy has in his closet... Lets just wait and see if there is an "out" clause and Jerry can opt out on the deal with the devil
that brought us three super bowls.

McCarthy and Moore overseeing this bunch of weapons...

Zeke
Cooper
Jarwin
Gallup
Pollard
Cobb
Devin Smith
Whoever they draft

Looking forward to it, behind a revitalized OL.

A bit premature because it is undetermined if Cooper or Cobb are even on the team next year and Smith received very little playing time this year.

From a numbers perspective, the Cowboys already have a top offense. That's not even something I worry about with McCarthy. What I hope to see gone next season, at minimum.

Perennial slow starts and/or stalls in the middle of a game.
Mindblowing in-game decisions
Inconsistent playcalling
Questionable time management
Leaky special teams

Nice post WG.

If run right it may equal the greatest show on turf no doubt in my mind but one thing they have to do with Prescott just get him to make better decision making in the pocket at this point I'm going to attribute that to Absolute confusion from coaching staff time will tell he simply needs to take off and run with it or throw the ball he got much better at this this year much much better but it end-of-year I saw it rearin its ugly head again

I don't know who they would target in FA or the draft but if you really add a weapon at TE it could be the move that puts this offense over the top.
I think you got to give Jarwin that chance as well he was starting to come into his own year before Witten came back

And to be honest with you when jarwin first came here I thought he was absolute trash I did not see him working out at all I was wrong

But then again he's a restricted free agent that so he could decide he wants out and I think he would have some takers not for a whole lot of money but a chance to play more might be in enticing to him

He is definitely a top 3 LT in the NFL.....when he is healthy. When he misses games because of his back or has to plays with a hurt back he is not top 3 - 5 and not worth the money. Unfortunately he is hurt most of the time.....this is either true or its not

My question on Jarwin is whether he can block enough to be the starter. I think he is perfect as the TE2 and may develop into more just like you say, but I would rather have a veteran TE as the starter.

Dak improved last year but a big part of him playing better was the OL getting healthy in 2019 and Witten coming back as his safety valve. Fans groan when Witten gets 5 yards as the 3rd read for Dak's safety valve, but those plays in 2018 were either sacks or Dak throwing the ball away. Its a big part of sustained drives.
