They can’t keep Dak and not pay Cooper.. That is the problem..

It was a massive screw up not signing Cooper last year..

If Cooper is not playing well then Dak is not worth having.

Id go as far as saying that Cooper is the MVP of this team and as he goes we go.
Bold statement. I can't say I agree or disagree but looking forward to how it plays out. 2018 is a pretty nice piece of evidence for your point tho.

I know.. I meant they better pay Cooper if they intend on keeping Dak.

You don’t get rid of Cooper and keep Dak.. Dak is not affective without him.
That’s I agree with unless your first pick is a WR and the cowboys can’t do that with all their defensive issues

I like how Gallup has progrsssd but I’m not sure he’s a 1

they can give cooper half of what an average #1 receiver should get since he completely disappears in every single road game. i think that’s fair!

but on a serious note i don’t think i will ever look at cooper the same after the eagles game and how he was ok with standing on the sideline with the season on the line because he didn’t want to make a fuss with the coaches. that is 100% inexcusable and kind of pathetic tbh.

On that 2nd paragraph, could you see Michael I, TO or Dez on that play. They 3 would have had a heart attack going off on the coaches.

I like Cooper, huge emphasis on like. I would have no issue franchising him but they better not give this dude top 3 money or even worse make him the highest paid wide out in the league. Sorry to say it, but Cooper is soft as Charming like Kobe once said. I don’t want a guy that takes himself out of games and plays soft when you need him most..hell no.

LOL...…...Like Zeke? Holding out, getting drunk, getting fat in Cabo, underperforming, getting arrested, suspended.

If anything, Cooper was playing through injuries the entire 2nd half of the year without missing a game. Probably should have taken 3 or 4 games off.

I Totally agree here.....randall cobb and Dak seemed to have the chemistry a whole lot more anyway......BTW...I just joined, does anyone know how I get the priveleges to start a new topic?
I think it requires 100 posts but maybe it's 1000...

Cooper proved he is a top 10 WR in this league.

He just needs to get healthy and he will be a impact WR again.

A lot of unwarranted Cooper bashing in this thread. I guess folks forgot what happened the last half of 2018 season.

I would like to retain Cooper, but would test the waters to see what he would fetch in a trade if he were franchised. If you got significant compensation, knowing this is a great draft class you would have to think about it.

Dude was hurt virtually 1/2 the season but still managed decent numbers

I’m not opposed to the tag or even a decent contract top 5 but you need to look at the big picture as he was hurt

He says he wasn’t hurt the second half of the season. So either he doesn’t want to make excuses which is admirable, or he wasn’t really hurt and he belonged on a milk carton the last half of the season. IDK which to believe.

I think it’s fair to say that Gallup was the better second half receiver but if all 3 of them can fix the drops I like this corps of receivers

if he wasn’t hurt then he did an awesome David copper field disappearing act away from AT&T especially

Cooper is the perfect WR for a WCO offense, too bad it will be expensive if they retain him

Objectively, one could argue that Cooper is top 10. On the other hand a really good case could be made that he is not.

He is not as good as Julio, Hopkins, Thomas. He’s not as good as a healthy AJ Green. There is a list of at least 10 to 15 more guys that could very easily be argued as better receivers than Cooper.

I like the guy and I hope he stays. But in reality I think he ranks somewhere between 15-20 in terms of receivers. You also can’t ignore his drops merely because it is convenient.

you don't let him go unless you have a plan to replace him via the draft/free agency and you better be sure it will work
