Pretty insightful discussion.

He said players loved Garrett but they needed new energy. He emphasized this a couple of times during the interview.

He said we have dawgs on defense but we need a "system update". Mentioned the Niners as a team that plays a similar D but they mix up the coverages more and that Dallas needs to do that more.

He defended D-Law's performance this season but said players in general were at fault for the poor tackling throughout the season. Shannon challenged him about the players needing to do more.

They also discuss the Jerry dynamic, X called him "the boss" when his asked about his meddling.

He sounds excited for Mike McCarthy and the new coaching staff.

X is a very thoughtful person but I am disappointed in his play this year. I hope he steps it up next season.

Just like I said. He basically said the locker room energy was low but in a nicer way. (@phildadon86 I was right before. Confirmation from the players). Just saying.

I'm really looking forward to the books that will be written about the JG years when these players start coming forward with their stories without fear of retribution from the Jones family.

Dwayne Harris immediately spoke out on the difference between how the Giants practice and go through training camp vs Dallas under Garrett.

But Garrett is a great coach to play for if you don't care about winning. There is zero accountability. You are not expected to improve at all. He has no expectations for anyone. You won't be chewed out. And even if you don't play well, Jerry will reward you with a contract extension.

Good interview. Love hearing about the new energy. I agree there is talent on defense but it isn't as good as Woods claimed.

Next year Super Bowl!!!

Woods was the guy who got his panties in a wad when it was rumored we were looking at Earl Thomas. He thinks he's on that level. So, I gotta question his talent evaluations. o_O

Yep. Camp Cupcake which was coined for Wade's tenure is just as true for Garrett. The preparation during camp and during each week is very poor and minimal. Wasn't it Morris Claiborne in year 6 of his career that said he finally learned how to watch and study film? Lmao. Which was well after his tenure here. That tells you no coaches are really hands on when it comes to breaking down film. And you can tell each week. We make zero adjustments. We don't try to exploit weaknesses. Or find tendencies to exploit. We run our offense and defense and make zero changes for any reason. Which is why so many coaches and players say its not a hard offense/defense to scheme for. They know exactly what we will do. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Hence why we are so up and down. Sam Darnold coming off mono looked like an all pro and said he knew exactly what our defense would be every play. His words were something like "they do what they do". Meaning we never adjust.

Need new energy at the safety position as well and DT positions as well. Until then, we aren't going anywhere.

I wonder if he'd be better at SS...…………..or, like I said about A. Woods in another post, the D will be 10x better if he's the 3rd S

The Giants were also among the worst teams in the league even Harris was there save for one year.

Re-watched the Bill Parcells Deep Blue documentary (Final Ride) produced by the Cowboys last night. Man I wish MM makes the players walk on edge (for the better) the way Tuna did.

Well while he was there for 3 seasons, they made the playoffs and won the same amount of playoff games as Dallas did. One appearance and zero wins. They swept us in 2016. You realize his first year in NYG, we were the ones who finished last place, right? And in 2016, they got the wild card and beat us twice. So many people on here wanted GB to beat NYG in the playoffs so we would not have to face them again in the divisional round.
