Astros punished for sign stealing

Hinch and Luhnow both suspended for the year and the team has multiple draft pics taken from them That is about as bad as it could get outside a lifetime ban.

As a Yankees fan living in Houston, I despise the Astros now. I hated losing to them in 2017, but I cheered them on in the WS cuz Harvey. I didn't know they were cheating then. This year, we complain in the ALCS that they're stealing our signs, and we get mocked. Now this. I despise the Red Sox for the rivalry, but I despise the Astros more cuz they are cheaters and cheated us out of the WS.

If they were using a camera to use AI to tell the pitch and have an automated system make the bangs, alright, got it.

This is no different than a part of the team physically saw a call with his own eyes and relayed it to the team.

I was unclear. I meant technology to process the signals and provide the notification automatically.

Someone watching a live video while in the stadium and banging a trash can is not what I was intending by "technology."

Even though our GM is from the Astros organization, I can say unequivocally that my Orioles are not stealing signs. Or bases. Or hitting home runs. Or pitching well.

Beltran is taking a beating in the press in NY. I do think Beltran is different than the coaches and management for the AStros. he was a player. Are other players going to get let go for the same thing? Are Astro players that participated going to be fined or suspended? Press needs to let up. Beltran is not the same as Cora, Hinch, and the GM.
