Javon Kinlaw is my early favorite for who I want to pick

I really doubt we’ll have a shot at him because he looks like another David Irving type on the football field..

You watch his games and he is almost always the first guy off the ball. He’s very disruptive and I hope we don’t get ourselves in a position where we are forced to take a safety or corner over Kinlaw if he is on the board.

This is a high upside 3 technique.

Yeah, I'd take him over any DB. In fact, I am praying Dallas does not pick a DB in the first round. I wonder if they'd go for WR Lamb if he fell to us. Although I'm not big on WR in the first round.

Going to be hard to get if we follow your trading for Burrow plan.

On the draft podcast someone said there’s a question about a knee injury. Maybe I misheard—anyone know something about that?

If he is there he has to be the pick
But if not it will be secondary
Too many needs there to pass up the quality that should be there

At this point, I don’t really care who or what position they draft. What I most care about is that they adjust their drafting MO. The last few years, their #1 draft target has leaked out a day or two before the draft and both times they took that player even though surprise players had fallen to their spot. It seems they fixate on a player they believe will be there and then convince themselves he is the best option. Draft day comes, players fall, and they don’t adjust. They just stand pat and take the player. Drafting well is a combination of preparation, getting lucky, and being smart enough to recognize that luck and act on it. Dallas has passed on good luck way too often for my liking. Passing on the likes of Underwood, Moss, and Stephen Jackson when each of them unexpectedly fell to them and happened to be their biggest need at the time. We all know about the recent passing on Watt and Thornhill. I just want to see them start taking the players that fall to them instead of fixating on a lesser player and just taking them instead.

I don't like any of these DBs. I'd pick a TE over them if Kmet is there. A DB would be a wasted pick in the first round IMO.

We have 3 CB who are free agents this year and the rest next year
Heath is our starter and a free agent
17 will get you a better safety option than TE
There will be a safety there with a first end grade, maybe two

These DBs are not worth a first round pick. They're not going to have any immediate impact. It's not like last season where DBs lasted into the 2nd round. I would never pick a DB in the first round unless he was exceptional. A top end TE or WR would have an immediate impact.

It doesn't matter who I want. They fly up the draft board every year. It never fails.
I would defiantly select him if he is in the BPA range.

I like him.
solid player.
wouldn't hate this pick at all and would still want the kid from utah...Fotu.
1/2....if we re-sign Collins...thats a helluva middle rotation with Collins,Kinlaw and Fotu.
now THAT should be able to stop the run.
another DT i like....Raequan Williams,Michigan St.
this is a good group of DTs.

He would be the guy I want unless these players are on the board when we pick:
Burrows
Chase Young
Jeff Okuah CB Ohio St
Isaiah Simmons
Derrick Brown

None of these guys will be there when it is our turn to pick. The only other person I may pick over him is A.J. Espenesa DE from Iowa.

Simmons looks so basic to me. Just a basic do nothing Safety.

I was hearing rumors about this or something along the lines of concerns about one of his knees but haven't been able to find anything else on it.

If he's healthy though and his knee is fine I'd be thrilled if we drafted him.

i dont know how you came to the conclusion after watching the Championship game,we can use a player like him who can line up in a lot of places and not miss a beat.He is going to destroy the combine.
