If he has a path to the goal line and misses a key hole, yes.
But the quarterback is suppose to see the entire field. He needs to know what the running back is doing, the receivers are doing, find the open spots in the end zone, throw the ball so the receivers can catch it, etc.
The running back's responsibility isn't that detailed.
Yes, the quarterback has more to be concerned about. But that's why he's the quarterback and why he gets most of the glory when the team wins and much of the blame when the team loses.
I agree. Great case for why high draft kicks and large contracts shouldn’t be invested in the RB position.

So you need coaches to tell you what to do to punch the ball in from inside the 10 yard line?
And, yes, I'm blaming that on Dak. He is the QUARTERBACK. His job is to know each player's responsibility including the wide receivers, the tight end, the running back, etc., ESPECIALLY, when inside the red zone. He is the one who touches the ball on every offensive play. Unless the coaches call three running plays, anytime the quarterback has the ball in his hands that close to the goal line, he is responsible.
In the RARE situation of a stupid play call like the one in the Seattle-New England Super Bowl game, it's on the quarterback.
Dak understands that. If he doesn't, get out and let someone do the job.
Lol I hear you but it baffles me how you font put ANY blame not even a little on others who ate involved in the play...AT ALL...and how did we narrow it down to 1 goal line play?

im just going to leave that quote there.

:muttley::lmao2::laugh::lmao:
Cheap to just use an extract from a complete post and take it out of context.

The point remains, if anyone reasonably considers that Cooper Rush should have started vs the Eagles...then it speaks volumes about the STATE of the performance the starting Dallas Cowboys quarterback actually delivered on the night in a win and you are in game.

Cowboys should move up and get Lions 3 pick......

Man why do people do drugs because I have no idea!! What is wrong with you seriously! The Cowboys would have to give up their entire draft this year and next year to move up 14 spots, God sometimes you people really annoy me with your ridiculous post!

Some people will say anything to display their hatred of Dak Prescott. It’s sad

This would be a great move. Trade draft picks and you would save almost 35 mil in cap space not paying Dak or the other draft picks you traded . The extra cap space would allow you to keep this roster together and sign any FAs you want.
lol - so we just give them our #17 pick and they give us their #3 pick? Hell yeah! Let's do it!

While we are at it, we should trade some of our practice squad players for some of their starters.

And get our new Franchise QB.
Lions would be dealing here I figure as they have no need for a QB.
Nothing to see here folks. Everyone please along about your normal business. Nothing to see here

That's a misleading post. Between the coaching staff idiots, complete mismanagement of the kicker (or are you going to blame Dak for that also?) and weather most of those games can be explained. Those aren't all on Dak. Not by any measure.

Spend the draft resources on defense and fix the special teams. Those will improve the starting field position (you know the Cowboys were the worst in the league, right?) and the offense immediately gets better. If anything trade down a couple of spots and pick up an additional 3rd rounder. You DO NOT trade up and deplete your draft picks. The Cowboys need more draft picks not less.
Wow, there are actually people on this board that have the capability to see the entire picture...

*** is the big deal! Trade 3 #1s oh I know what your thinking. What if he turns out to be no good. Well life is full of risks. If you dont ever take a risk your gonna always play it safe and be stuck in the middle.

lol - there is a difference between taking reasonable risks and stupid ones. Of course teams have to take some risks, but they need to be calculated and weighed carefully. "What the Hell" is not a good reason to take a risk.

I'm assuming this is a joke? Offense is at the very bottom of the list in terms of issues with the team. Offensive rankings in 2019:

DVOA: #2
Pts/G: #6
Y/G: #1

Defensive DVOA: #19
Special teams DVOA: #30

If you think that offense is any issue, let alone our biggest issue, then you've got issues.

The offense does have an issue though. Yes it was number one but it only showed up like 40% of the time. That needs to be fixed

Ya ok! Thats why in the Saints game Dak threw 33 times and in the Pats game he threw 34 times and in the Eagles game he threw 44 times...cause we were playing an ultra conservative version of our offense....lol. 12 points, here i'll say it again 12 points and we couldn't beat the Saints, now i'll grant you that can happen to teams sometimes but then we get the the Pats 13 points!! and in the biggest game of the season for us we couldn't score more than 17 to beat the Eagles and get into the playoffs

I love how these guys make up stories not grounded in reality. As you pointed out, we threw the ball awll over thirty times in those games and we tried to be a big-play type of offense. Halfway through the season, we heard how this offense is now Dak-centered and Witten, the Garrett-lackey, was being quoted as saying we are a passing offense that is attacking downfield. Now everybody is back to, this offense needs to go through Zeke..

Jaguars 13 Really now, the Jaguars?
Panthers 10
Colts 23 Garbage time special
Ravens 7
Broncos 24 Another garbage time special
Titans 14 In the most imp game of the season

Guess the Texans should be moving on from Watson too.

Texans OL is garbage and he got sacked 44 times, almost double what Dak did. And they still made the play-offs. And Watson pulled a victory got his team in the playoffs while being down 13 at half against a stout Bills team. Dak didn’t win a single game this year when trailing at the half if I remember correctly.

This comparison is a joke.
