How would you feel if this guy starts sliding and we move up to get him?

IMO this is the most talented QB in the draft... He just has never wow’d me like the other 2 but his talent and upside is off the charts..

Herbert looks like what a modern day QB is supposed to look like.

He can make every throw and is an athlete who can run.. It would not be shock me if he ends up as the best QB in this class.

I'm a Dak guy, and while Herbert has tools, he is far from a finished product. IMO, a bird in the hand is worth two inaccurate, rocket-armed project QBs in the bush.

Once all the scouts see him up close at the combine he'll be moving up.
Physically gifted in a big way.
Fwiw, however, some do question his intangibles. Some did that with Marino too though.
Most of the times I've watched him I've been a bit disappointed.
Guess we'll find out soon enough

I'd be surprised if he slips past the Chargers at 6

The thing is.. I don’t see how these guys can look at Jacob Eason and not be extremely impressed with him as well.

Even though I think Herbert has the most talent I think Eason has one of the more impressive arms you’ll see coming into the draft.

I just don’t see much mobility with Eason but that arm is ridiculous.

nah,Bill's are damned because of him.a better QB with that Defense should be winning more.

I mean they made the playoffs in the same division as the Patriots. The guy rushed for 500 yards.

I’m going to drop this in here as well.

Every video I see of Eason I come away impressed with some of the tight window throws this guy makes.

He may end up getting drafted by a pretty good team like Pittsburgh or New England and with that arm he could be really good. Rare arm talent.

I feel the way I always feel. I dont wanna pay Dak, I dont want the cap crippled for a decade by a midling QB. So yeah if any good QB slides take him.

It’s going to be interesting to see how he turns out. Some of the throws he makes even the best pros aren’t capable of.

I almost wonder if the emphasis on being able to move is getting a bit overrated because a guy like this with that arm should be spoken about more.

Big arm but can't move is Ryan Leaf. That's why Eason isn't talked about more.

Having said that, he'd be a first-rounder in a lot of drafts. There's just 4 guys with more upside b/c they're mobile.

I mean.. He throws some incredible passes too.. It’s unfair to call every QB that can’t move Ryan Leaf.. Might as well call him Tom Brady or Peyton Manning.

I do agree that the others have more upside but it’s mostly because they can move.

Lol well the point is that if he can't move he can bust like Leaf. Brady and Peyton were excellent at moving in the pocket. If Eason had that ability, I don't think mobility would be the concern.

I say draft Jordan Love out of Utah:

6' 4" 225 pounds

The kid has a strong arm and would get Dallas out from having to pay Dak Prescott $30+ Million/year. That would allow for the re-signing of Cooper, Jones, etc. Why designate a large percentage of the team salary cap to a middle of the road QB?

Don't judge a QB by how he plays againsst the Cowboys, especially a young QB. Mitch Trubisky looked like an all-pro against Dallas.

Well..

His team made the playoffs and he kept the INT's low.. His passing TD's were mediocre.. His rushing TD's was like 9 with 500 yards rushing.

He was very... Dak Prescottish for his team.

If the Cowboys defense wasn't so bad, I might be willing to go with Hebert in the first round, the way Dallas took Steve Walsh behind Troy Aikman. But the Cowboys have bigger problems than QB. Maybe, if he falls to the Cowboys, someone right behind them will be willing to trade up and give the Cowboys a good draft pick in return. But if Dallas comes out of this draft without a quality DT or safety, I will be mighty disappointed. A QB, no matter which one they take, is not going to help Dallas in 2020 and maybe not in 2021 either.
