Deion Sanders...

A one-dimensional CB, who shamelessly leeched himself onto whichever team was trending up and who was his own biggest promoter.

Definitely one too many.
Well I have my issues with Deion, but the guy was the greatest CB that I have ever seen play the game. Pretty dam Special athlete or football player, has to be top 3-5 all time that I have seen.

So Deion is saying some of the last inductees don't deserve the honor. I'm not sure what Deion is thinking but according to one voter, the centennial class gives them a chance to clean up quite a few misses over the years. I don't agree with his thinking here at all.........

And yet Drew Pearson isnt in. Chuck Howley isnt in. I think sometimes they let certain players in just to keep certain fan bases interested. No system is perfect and this one never has been.

6 a year seems fine to me. That 6 is largely clearing out a backlog. It's clearly more permissive than "did you change the game". I think it should be. I'm more on "were you the best for a period of time, or one of the best for a longer period of time?"

1) All Pro years
2) First Ballot Pro Bowls (gotta differentiate between alternates)
3) Season leader in relevant stats
4) Championships
5) Wild card is if you changed the game in some way, and how much.

Eli is a real test. I'd say no. Never an All Pro. Only a smattering of Pro Bowls. Never a season leader in anything but INTs.

No on Gore too. Even more so. He doesn't even have the championships.

It shouldn't be a participation trophy.
