Deion Sanders...

A one-dimensional CB, who shamelessly leeched himself onto whichever team was trending up and who was his own biggest promoter.

Definitely one too many.
So you don't think Deion belongs in the Hall of Fame?

I agree with him.

Jerome Bettis doesn't belong in the Hall of Fame.
Curtis Martin doesn't belong in the Hall of Fame.
Ark Monk doesn't belong in the Hall of Fame.
Tim Brown doesn't belong in the Hall of Fame.
Frank Gore will likely get in but he doesn't belong.

Gore should because in his prime he was one of the best. His longevity is surreal. But if he doesn’t....I wouldn’t have a problem with it.

Well I have my issues with Deion, but the guy was the greatest CB that I have ever seen play the game. Pretty dam Special athlete or football player, has to be top 3-5 all time that I have seen.
Yeah you can hate the guy if you want but he’s the best corner of all time. Can’t take that away from him.

One of the very what?
He was never considered among the top backs in any year. If so, refresh my memory.
He gets in because of longevity. Nothing fame-worthy.

The single reason why more than half the guys who used to go out for receiver no want to play cornerback. His impact is unreal, especially in urban areas. All these kids now want to play corner and be like Deion. I've seen it tracking my son's development as a football cornerback.

Deion Sanders is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, but he thinks that club is adding too many members. Sanders said on the Dan Patrick Show that he believes there are too many players being allowed...

I disagree. There are a lot of great players who won't get in because they never won a super bowl.
They do, however, let in average players if they won a super bowl, especially if they then go on to do television/ media

You know, an argument can be made that Deion Sanders is the second best Cowboys CB of all time, behind Mel Renfro. Mel was a phenomenal athlete. And he tackled.

The real question with Deion is: are you talking to Deion, or are you talking to his "Prime Time" persona?

Yeah no hate, but have some issues with things he has said. Hey, I typically gravitate to the outside the box personality and he was certainly that. But, I liked Duane Thomas too so not sure what that says about me!

And that's cool. I get why people would hate the off the field personality. But to hate him so much you try to discredit his career? That's new level hate lol.

He was generally considered one of the top backs. Most people don't know about him because he's a grinder. Highlights are full of big plays, Gore is an Emmit Smith clone. If you don't think Gore should go in, you don't think Emmit should be in.

Stabler's story is an object lesson in how subjective (in some ways) media folks can be. Read the story below, and realize that the media blamed Stabler for this, and that's why he had to die
to get into the HOF.

https://www.pressdemocrat.com/sports/4189498-181/padecky-ken-stabler-memories-on?sba=AAS

Appreciate the linked article. A fascinating read for me especially on how it seemed that Stabler was being protected almost by like a mafia style powers that be as the author to the article kinda implied. Being a Bama fan and my family all being from Alabama, this adds to that certain we take care of our own and no hard feelings understanding.
Thanks again for the link.

I completely agree. And people crying about not getting in is just pathetic.

Comparing Gore to Emmitt is laughable. Always liked Gore, but he was no emmitt Smith.
