If being paid an average of a top 5 QB isn't good enough and he is hell-bent on being THE highest paid I'm all for looking in a different direction for 2020. There's no team out there that would make THE highest paid QB..........maybe he needs a reality check.......personally I'm just about done with his greedy drama.

The reality check was the egirls game, with everything pointing your direction and could not salvage a TD against there JV squad.

You make it sound so easy. Look at the hit rate on QBs drafted over the last decade. It isn't good. That's why even scrubs like Nick Foles have had some big contracts.

Since 2016 about half the starting QBs positions have turned over in the NFL.
5 of the playoff teams had QBs with less than 5 years experience.
It not nearly as hard to find a starting QB as it was years ago.

This speculation is so silly. Even more so that a veteran like Irvin would spread this crap.

Brady will never leave the pats.

He doesn't want top salary or even close. Ide be surprised if he asks for more than 30/yr.

He wants leverage with whom they will draft or trade for. He wants to fill that gap of Gronk and an aging Edelman. He feels like last year he was screwed over and stuck with a bunch of new guys after what's his name flunked out of the league. Top 5 defense and he had a patchwork line with one go to guy to throw to.

His ultimate goal is to win another while he can still play and finish on one team.

That's all. All the rest of it is noise.

You'll get at least one 1st rounder. Two? As in that franchise tag? That's a reach.

But take teams like the Chargers and Colts for instance. Both have a lot of fine pieces in place, but no longer the quarterback. If it took your 1st rounder and a 3rd or 4th rounder thrown in? Yeah, I think they'd bite. Especially a team like the Colts. Flush with cap room, few draft needs anyway, they're a perfect match. And unlike any rookie, you're getting a known commodity. If I were them, I'd be all over Brady myself to step right in on that team.

I think you could get a 1 and a 3

That's nice. There were only 2 young QBs who had a deep run, and they were both in the Super Bowl. It's clear that Jimmy G didn't have to do anything to get to the Super Bowl. All of the young QBs that were in the playoffs have produced about the same that Dak Prescott has. So why pay an old QB a lot of money to maybe draft someone as good as Dak, or worse, get someone like Mitch Trubisky or Paxton Lynch?

NFL Playoff QBs:

Allen
Watson
Cousins
Brees
Tannehill
Wentz
Wilson
Jimmy G.
Jackson
Mahomes
Rodgers
Brady

Yeah I’ll take my chances.. I believe QBs are easier to find then ever. The team around them is the most important thing.. Some of these busts like Tannehill will perform if you move them to a good team.

As long as their mobile we should be fine.

Even if that's true, which is ridiculous, why are we adding a 42 year old statue into the mix for 30m?

Because we can't get our 20 something year old greedy QB signed thats one reason

Not including Garoppolo (2014) you have Allen (2018), Watson (2017), Wentz (2016), Jackson (2018), and Mahomes (2017).

Without going back through all the playoffs, in the last 5 years....

Russell Wilson (2011) Super Bowls in 2013 and 2014
Cam Newton (2011) Super Bowl 2015
Exception: In 2016 and 2017 Tom Brady, Matt Ryan and Nick Foles (Wentz was Phillies starter but injured)
2018 Tom Brady and Jared Goff (2016)
2019 Garoppolo (2014) and Mahomes (2017)
Go back further if you want....
Brady was drafted in 1999. First Super Bowl was 2001.
Rothlisberger was drafted in 2004. Super Bowl in 2005.
Aikman (1989) won his first Super Bowl in 1991

Great QBs are producing by their third year. That doesn't mean they won't be good, but like blind squirrels they need a lot of help to find that nut.

I hear it was Joe Namath, and all it took to sign him was a case of Keystone Light per day.
